Call of Cthulhu®

Es un juego con bastante buena ambientación (lo más difícil en mi opinión para una adaptación de Lovecraft) con una jugabilidad torpe y una historia con algunos problemas de ritmo, muchas buenas ideas, como la parte RPG con las estadísticas y las decisiones, que no son bien ejecutados y no se traducen en grandes cambios en la partida. Pero en resumen un juego bastante decente si te gusta Lovecraft.

It seems like it would be a wonderful game but it doesn't even boot up. It loads to the main menu, you hit 'new game' and it crashes completely. what's more is that the devs don't seem to care yet don't mind taking people's money for it anyway. -1000000/10.

Мрачный детектив, где финал истории полностью зависит от ваших решений. Признаться во время игры из-за пугающей атмосферы у меня даже пробегали мурашки по коже. Хотя подсознательно именно этого и ждёшь от хоррора по Лавкрафту. Геймплей по большей части представляет собой изучение местности и предметов, диалоги с людьми, а также решение различных загадок. В целом вся детективная составляющая геймплея сделана очень хорошо. Единственное ближе к финалу немного проседает темп повествования, но даже несмотря на это проходить игру было очень интересно.

there are six skills: only two of them are useful, and two of them can only be raised by external sources (but not the same two)! there are two stealth sections before the concept is mostly abandoned. there's one hilarious combat section where you get a gun with infinite bullets and john wick-auto aim to dome cultists. at one point a feisty lady bootlegger straight out of a steampunk novel pops up, then exits the narrative without comment. this all feels less like cut content and more like a grab-bag of cut content from other horror games that kind of coalesce into a roughly game-shaped narrative there are Choices That Will Affect Your Destiny, but very little actual choice after the first little area: it all plays out pretty much the same way, except at the very end when it tallies up your madness/sobriety to see which endings you can access. and when its a narrative game with almost no gameplay outside of opening drawers, reading letters and picking dialogue options, well, why would you want to play the same 8ish hours to see 20ish minutes of new content?
