Call of Cthulhu®

It didn't ~blow me away~ but it is pretty good! A little bit of techno voodoo is required to get it going on modern systems, but once that's out of the way, I didn't encounter any other issues or anything gamebreaking. Personally I haven't bumped into any of the glitched achievements that so many other reviews are mentioning, but - in terms of gameplay, it's remarkable to me how much this one does indeed feel like a TTRPG transformed into a singleplayer game, particularly in the way areas are set up and the dialogue options (particularly in the earlier chapters), and then bringing in elements of a more standard "stealth" based survival horror later on. There is -some- replay value, mainly if you're going for 100% achievement completion, but not too terribly much since it seems like the story pretty much always plays out the same way in the end (regardless of those "This Will Affect Your Destiny" prompts, which... honestly I haven't seen much difference between choices on those so far?), so at the most it's just that and to see what the various dialogue options do. It's a very well put-together atmosphere, very moody & vibey, but I gotta say it does feel extremely self-contained. It's a fun, intriguing story, but once you're undergoing the investigation, everything else in the game world sort of falls away - which I suppose you could say is part of it, as the player character falling into obsession over all this weird stuff he's encountering. But at the end of the day, the fact of the matter is if you're here looking at this game, then you probably already like what this one's got in store for you. So as usual, pick it up on sale, play through it once or twice, and then shelve it.

Игра неплохая, но очень линейная и скучная. Один раз дали пострелять и все. Детективные функции очень примитивные. Система диалогов не очень понятна.

Рекомендую ? Да. Идеальная игра по ГФЛ? Нет. +Атмосфера +сюжет +музыка +основа на НРИ "Зов Ктулху" (Игра- геймифицированный сценарий для одного) МЫнусы. -графика слабовата. -сюжет дерганный , можно было менее рваное повествование сделать. -прокачка примитивна. - моменты с геймплеем из юнити-хорроров. -баги и вылеты (иногда, не часто. За 3-4 прохождения , мб, пару раз игра вылетала). -локации , после первого прохождения, можно пробежать за 5-15минут. (Хотя, иногда , нам дают выбор : как мы хотим , к примеру, сбежать отсюда. Таких вариантов 2-3 , не везде есть, но спасибо и на этом). Сейвскамьте. Найдите папку, где лежат сейвы и делайте бэкапы. Не знаю почему, но , к примеру, достижение "крысы в стенах" мне ни разу не упало, хотя я несколько раз проходил игру с нужным решением в нужный момент. Вывод: я прошел игру несколько раз. Не без интереса , учитывая , что к концу (если не брать первое прохождение) игра теряет хватку. Буду выбивать платину. Выбью. Удалю. Может скачаю еще раз , что бы поиграть (или посмотреть виды) , но это точно будет не скоро. Моя оценка : 6,5 из 10. Хорошая база в виде игр от Chaosium , но реализация ( особенно ролевая) подводит.

I love the vibe here. Unfortunately its just SO SLOW. The "run" is barely faster than the walk. The entirety of moving is a crawl to the point of not being enjoyable. Also some things don't make sense such as the boss lady telling me she'd need to follow me around in the warehouse, just to then say she was done "babysitting me" after our painfully slow walk there. There is also a heap of grammatical errors/spelling errors.
