EA may have junked this game... their app is a nightmare, and now they've killed the last good racing game... I have a hard time hating them more.
I want to beat up the person who approve the idea of making player take selfies with their sh!tty webcam after winning every race. The gameplay is GREAT, but everything aside that is HORRIBLE. This is probably why this game is so mid, forgotten & not recommended by mainstream racing fan, or getting the chance for new Burnout series. but nothing comes close to the amazing car collision than Burnout. That said, the map are mid & too small for my liking. City feels dead, lack variety, i hate the track design, should have stick to linear gameplay instead. Race feels repetitive very fast & soon become chore instead of adrenaline intense action. The worst of all to me is probably the horrible Menu UI. Not smooth at all, unnecessary animations that takes time & very clanky to get used to. I muted the soundtrack including the start menu & have my own playlist in background. Nothing special about SFX or soundtracks. The idea of having license in Paradise City feels 'fake', awkward & brings nothing. thats why I used mod to remove DJAtomica annoying rant, stating the obvious. Camera is still the same, you cannot see upcoming traffic when going uphill. should have been like Asphalt action camera. going above 60fps with mods also breaks the steering input. Having to install EA app definitely feels like getting spit on.

Played this game 25 years ago on Xbox 360 and I haven't played it since then. It's great to be playing such a GREAT racing arcade sim that is crazy at the best of times and down right frustrating at the worst of times. Lots of fun, just like I remembered it! Got it for $4.99. Such a steal!!!! One of my childhood games is back in my collection and better than ever! :)
