Test your engineering and improvisation skills in a puzzle game where the stakes are as high as they get. It is you who will construct bridges for cars, trucks, buses... And sometimes even monster trucks. Gather your wits and get on with the construction!
During the planning phase the game presents itself with a simple, 2D interface. It is there that you select the best materials for your bridge and connect the dots to make the most resilient structure you can. You can approach each level as a complex puzzle, trying to be as efficient as possible and get the best solution. But don't be afraid to experiment too. You can just go crazy and construct something that looks outrageous but still somehow works. There's fun in both of these approaches.
When you're done, switch to the 3D mode and watch a car drive through your bridge. Will it hold? Or will you watch a spectacular crash?
In addition to the normal mode the game features the easy mode for more relaxed gameplay, focused on creativity and improvisation. You can also use in-game hint system if things get too hard. With 80 levels plus hidden and bonus bridges to construct you will not run out of things to do quickly.

Build a Bridge! has an interesting concept and plenty of levels, but the execution leaves much to be desired. The tutorial is buggy, the audio options are limited (either too loud or completely off), and the physics often feel broken, with vehicles clipping through structures. While the triangle mode helps with building and the art style is nice, the lack of polish and repetitive mechanics make it hard to recommend over Poly Bridge, which delivers a much smoother experience.
I rolled the dice on SteamDeck and SteamOS compatibility (currently listed as unknown on the page). It works fine. As for the game itself, it's a solid bridge builder with decent polish and is very playable with a game controller. So far I have found one annoying bug where the retry button doesn't work, so to retry the level you're working on after attempting a run you have to pop out to the map and go back in again. Not a deal breaker for me though and I'm having lots of fun.

Build a Bridge is a thoroughly enjoyable puzzle experience that rewards ingenuity, patience, and a sense of fun. Its combination of precise engineering challenges, playful experimentation, and satisfying physics-based results creates a game that is easy to pick up but endlessly engaging. The graphics, physics, and level design are all top-notch, and the optional challenges provide plenty of replayability. While it lacks a truly original twist to distinguish it from its competitors, it more than makes up for this with sheer enjoyment and accessibility. For anyone who loves puzzles, design, or watching glorious collapses, Build a Bridge is hard to beat. I would give it a solid 8.5 out of 10, with only the crowded market and lack of true originality holding it back from a higher score.
[h1]Достойный представитель жанра[/h1] Не совсем понятно, почему игра получила так мало внимания. Жанр мостостроения не очень популярный, и у жанра только два достойных представителя: Poly Bridge и Bridge Constructor. Ну так вот, Build a Bridge! взяла лучшее из обеих игр, но выглядит всё равно как самостоятельный продукт. Графика похожа на Poly Bridge, а управление и геймплей как в Bridge Constructor. Идеальная формула успеха. В игре есть три мира, и миры проработаны очень хорошо: Земля (с Антарктидой, пустыней и горными лесами), космическая и восточная тематика (дракон, корабль — ооо!). Окружение постоянно меняется, и с ним можно немного взаимодействовать (птицы пугаются и улетают, медведь рычит, пингвины прыгают и т.д.). Автомобилей тоже достаточно. За разнообразие окружения "пять". Графика при этом очень приятная и достаточно проработанная. В техническом плане игра "мобильная", но вывозит за счёт общего стиля. [b]Недостатки, конечно, тоже есть:[/b] 1) Игра достаточно длинная и есть три "задачи" в каждой миссии. Так вот, эти задачи обычно не связаны с основной постройкой мостов. Примеры задач: "достигни высоты 15 метров, сделай прыжок на 20 метров, проведи в воздухе 4 секунды". Сначала вы строите мост с денежным лимитом, чтобы транспорт добрался до пункта назначения, а после сносите мост и выполняете "задачи" уже без денежных ограничений (иногда строите три моста с нуля). Из-за этого игра искусственно растягивается, задачи же очень похожи 2) В игре есть безлимитные подсказки и у игрока может исчезнуть мотивация строить самому. Лично я прошёл только ~70% игры, оставшиеся достижения (выполни все доп. задачи, построй мост на три звезды) получил с помощью подсказок Некоторые пишут, мол, мосты в игре повторяются. Это действительно так, но это особенность жанра. В Bridge Constructor та же самая проблема, поэтому я не согласен с нападками на Build a Bridge! Если любите жанр постройки мостов, то берите 100%. Как первая игра в этом жанре тоже подойдёт.
I cannot recommend at this point because I can't save my progress. I've looked everywhere but cannot find a save or quit button, so I have to force stop the game. However, I will say that this game makes me laugh so much - mostly because I'm terrible at it. I get lots of belly laughs from watching my awful bridges collapse. It's a fun little physics game when I'm not sure what else to play.
Este jogo é ótimo pra quem gosta de pensar e pensar e pensaaaaar kkkkkk... De verdade, me diverti muito com ele... Gosto de ter que ficar pensando sem parar, mesmo que as vezes não saia do lugar... E os desafios dele são bem instigantes e você num quer parar kkkkk Super recomendo!

Fica aqui um trecho da minha análise que podem ver em completo no blog Gaming Power PT, links na minha bio :) Em geral o jogo consegue ter alguma diversão, o recomendar ou não pode sentir-se um pouco subjectivo, em que no geral até recomendo se for apanhado a um bom preço como achado, para de vez em quando dar uns toques mas esperando sempre um nível de frustração bem acima da média. "Mesmo assim é uma entrada engraçada, divertida e até com um bom desafio e mesmo sendo direcionada a solo play pode muito bem ser transformada em sessões multijogador à vez com mais do que uma pessoa a tentar elaborar as suas próprias travessias, e fica como uma recomendação a quem queira ter algo com algum desafio e para estimular de certa maneira a sua imaginação dentro de alguns limites, mas atenção pois existem um ou outro bug em que o que mais me frustrou neste jogo foi o de reiniciar níveis não funcionar bem tendo de voltar ao mapa do jogo e entrar no nível novamente, o que tenham feito de construção fica lá à mesma, mas mesmo assim é um passo extra desnecessário, que aliado a alguma física nas construções demasiado irrealistas na minha perspectiva e da dificuldade demasiado alta devido até este último ponto, sinto que se juntam dando a este jogo uma nota de frustração por vezes demasiado frequente."

❌ NOT RECOMMENDED 86 levels of the exact. same. sentence. Three mechanics. That is literally all this game brought to the table. A truck falls, the bridge folds in half, and by level forty the cosmic joke dies a excruciating death and leaves you staring at the cold, unfeeling husk of a glorified tech demo. That’s the real sin here—it isn't broken, it's just completely stagnant. It delivers its entire pitch in the first five minutes and then has the nerve to drag your corpse through another 81 levels of the exact same routine. Look, I’ll give credit to the physics engine—it actually holds its ground. Watching a structural monstrosity miraculously hold together under weight it had no right surviving is genuinely satisfying, and when it snaps, at least it’s honest about your failures. But honest physics don't save a game bloated far past its expiration date. It does precisely what it says on the box and absolutely nothing else. It isn't broken, it isn't special, and it sure as hell isn't worth opening your wallet for. The Bottom Line: A three-trick pony stretched into an 86-level marathon.
