Borderlands Game of the Year

There is something really enjoyable about experiencing Borderlands as a solo adventure. The combination of first-person shooting, RPG progression, and an almost ridiculous number of weapons gives the game a unique identity. I especially enjoyed exploring the different areas and gradually becoming more powerful. Borderlands is much more enjoyable with friends. The shooting and looting become more entertaining when everyone has different characters, weapons, and playstyles. Fighting through groups of enemies together feels chaotic in a good way, and finding better loot gives everyone something to look forward to. The story is simple and the quests can become repetitive, but the atmosphere, humor, and visual style kept me interested. It feels like an old-school shooter mixed with an RPG, and that combination still works surprisingly well. If you have a couple of friends who enjoy shooters and RPG-style progression, the co-op experience is definitely worth playing. Enjoy :)

Unplayable on modern hardware. I went through a handful of mice, and can't get a good mouse control. it's either too fast, or too slow. Yes, you can constantly keep changing the DPI of your mouse, but that's not a customer's problem. If you're going to sell games, make sure they work with ANY modern hardware. Buy the enhanced version cheap instead.

They have fallen

literally none of the characters are likeable or fun or entertaining and i hate all of them and also the writers. also they stole this entire game from indie artists because gearbox is comprised entirely of talentless hacks with no skills
