Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 5.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Імба, рекомендую!
Played this game casually for a bit. Had a decent amount of progress on it. Hopped on one day and the game completely crashed and wiped all of my progress. Super disappointing. Not really sure how to fix this issue with the game.
Good game, not for kids
Borderlands still works as a nostalgic, rough-around-the-edges experience: dated in places, technically imperfect, and occasionally awkward, but still fun enough to satisfy the craving that brought me back to it. I originally played this game in both its release version and the original Game of the Year version on the “well-beloved” PS Triple. I decided to play it again recently for a few reasons: I cannot play many newer games with my aging hardware, including the new BL4; I am unable to upgrade right now; and I had a small nostalgic craving. Because of that nostalgia, I still remember much of the main story and many side quests as if I played them yesterday. That familiarity shaped my replay from the start and made it easier for me to move through the game quickly instead of taking everything in slowly like I did the first time. I sort of sped my way through it all. I skipped as much speech as possible and almost every cutscene, and I relied completely on the outrunner to get everywhere instead of walking like I did on console. I also chose Mordecai this time because I thought certain parts of the story might be different and that my aim would be better than it was on console. The results were inconclusive on the aim. It took me about 60 hours to complete the main story, all side quests, the DLCs, and as much exploration of the game’s world as I could manage. If you take the slower approach by actually interacting with the story, doing the side quests at a normal pace, watching the few cutscenes, collecting every collectible, and inspecting every weapon in fine detail, you could easily add another 20 hours to your playtime. The story in this game is okay and very simple for the most part. You are a Vault Hunter who hears about the legendary Vault being on the planet Pandora. You, along with up to three other Vault Hunters, are greeted by the lawlessness of Pandora and a random AI known as the “Guardian Angel.” This AI tells you to search for clues about the Vault through scattered local folk tales while helping locals and battling bandits who kill for fun, along with the Crimson Lance, a private army of the Atlas corporation that is also looking for the same Vault. Some of the jokes, even today, do not always land and can sometimes make you wince if you think about them too much. I guess that is part of the Borderlands DNA now. But you can also tell that the series had not fully found its footing in telling this kind of story yet. Across the games, you can see it grow into the genre, barely at times, while trying new things and sometimes failing. Gameplay is simple and rough. There is very little movement tech you must learn to survive. There is no sliding or slide movement tech, so instead you have to get well acquainted with jumping and using it to dodge some attacks and near-death scenarios. What really makes the game show its age, besides the jokes, is the graphics. The remaster is still rough around the edges. Playing this game, BL2, and the Pre-Sequel somewhat shows why the series moved away from its custom rendering and shader engine, Willow, in favor of using more and more of Unreal’s default rendering engine and graphics tech, for better and for worse. At the time of release, though, the look was cool and unique. Lastly, performance. The game ran perfectly fine on my old PC, but that is partially because I have 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and the GOAT GTX 1080 Ti by my side. I also played the game in six big bursts, so I did not give it much time to crash from the memory leak issue that still plagues it to this day, much like its younger sibling, BL4. With all that nonsense said, the game did scratch my nostalgia itch and fulfilled its goal of being fun to play. It is not the cleanest or most modern-feeling entry point anymore, and some parts have aged better than others, but the core loop still works. For me, that was enough. So go on, grab a gun and Catch-A-Ride.
Combines the best elements of different worlds: FPS, collecting loot, and building a character. For a game released in 2009, the 4K enhancement gives the cartoonish graphics, a fresh and new appeal.
