Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

It doesn't feel like borderlands. I have a really nice PC, and it chugs bad. Storyline is meh at best, and disappointing to say the least. At least I got it for 50% off, which was still too expensive. 11 hours of gameplay, probably 5 hours were compiling shaders....
I did like the game and the gun play was good. But I dont see it having a future. End game is boring and the devs are doing nothing with it. Left it in the dust to rot. Shame could of been great

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 316.29/day in the week to Sep 15 → 102.83/day in the week after.
Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 5 climbed and 3 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 47/day in the week to Sep 11 → 340.86/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 41.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 47.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

You have to turn off ransomware protection to play this game, otherwise it will always crash on launch. No thanks.
This is based on playing the free weekend trial. Borderlands 4 shows hints of promise here and there. The weapons are still varied and the new manufacturers are unique. The new glide jetpack and grapple hook are excellent additions that make traversal more varied and fun. I also liked having my character not only present in cutscenes, but also actively participating in them. The core gameplay of experimenting with builds, looting, and shooting is present and as good as ever. However, that is about all the praise I have for Borderlands 4. Changing Borderlands into a seamless open world was something that I was excited to experience. Unfortunately, the world feels haphazard and largely empty. The segmented areas of previous titles were restrictive, sure, but they also felt meticulously designed. Each area had a purpose, with its own encounters, enemies, and side quests. There was something satisfying about entering an area and working through its side quests in an efficient order, too. The open world lacks that same sense of intentional design. There are side activities scattered throughout it, but they are largely uninspired and bland. Most consist of pushing a button at a tower, holding a small area while fighting waves of enemies, or fighting a powered-up enemy inside a bubble that you cannot leave, even if you need to follow the enemy. The new traversal mechanics make getting around the world more enjoyable, but they cannot make an otherwise empty world feel meaningful. I think if the world was just a little bit smaller or allowed you to freely use the grapple, but with a cooldown, that may have alleviated some of the emptiness. The biggest gripe I have with Borderlands 4 is the dialogue. While what I experienced was not as cringe-inducing as Borderlands 3, its focus on feelings and emotional processing still felt unnatural and incongruent with previous titles. The series has always thrived on a world populated by selfish, maniacal, and often poorly educated characters who embraced the brutality and absurdity of their surroundings. Its humor was frequently cruel, nihilistic, and unapologetic. The first game, for example, lets you steal from a blind man. The second had the bullymong name quest. The third had … . Well, it had some nice zones and the DLCs were fun. Borderlands 4, by comparison, seems far more interested in having its characters talk through their feelings and process them. This is not inherently wrong. Borderlands 2 had an entire campaign dedicated to Tiny Tina processing her grief and did a fantastic job. It was heartfelt while still operating within the established identity of Borderlands. The worst offender of this approach to emotionally focused dialogue that I encountered was a side quest involving a talking missile. What could have been a classic Borderlands setup instead turned into a therapy session, with the vault hunter using active-listening techniques to address the missile's anxiety. I do not care about a missile's anxiety. Classic Borderlands would have had the missile blow up a nearby village or turn on the player for their gullibility. It would have embraced the absurd and hostile world rather than treating the situation as an opportunity for emotional exploration and growth. This same type of therapist dialogue appears when interacting with Claptrap and when the vault hunter apologizes to a character for assuming that “gym rats” can't read. These moments might be intended to demonstrate empathy or emotional maturity, but they feel incompatible with the tone that made Borderlands unique. The series used to find humor in a world where selfishness, cruelty, and stupidity were the norm. Now, even its absurd characters need the player to be their therapist. Borderlands 3 never hit my funny bone, but I still enjoyed exploring the world. The problem with Borderlands 4 is that the loss of that distinctive humor is accompanied by other changes that make the overall experience less enjoyable. The core gameplay loop is still as good as ever, but it is saddled with dialogue that frequently feels like unrealistic therapy talk and a world that is too large with generic busywork scattered around. The shooting and looting can still carry the experience for a while, but the world and writing around them no longer provide the same personality or sense of purpose that made previous entries so enjoyable. Granted, other zones deeper into the story may be better than the opening, but this wasn't an issue I had with previous entries. Perhaps the game gets better as it goes on, but what I played was not enough to convince me it was worth the full price of admission.
怎么能越更新优化越垃圾呢?加载时编译着色器闪退,主界面进游戏闪退,进游戏里传送或者进DLC地图还闪退???甚至打开游戏还能自动重启???更难绷的是全网搜不到解决办法,哈哈。
like others have said, refunded because the game is so poorly optimized. 45 fps on low/med graphics. Not worth it even on sale. I don't even think I'd play this even if I was gifted for free. Just unable to enjoy the game.
Very disappointing, The worst of the series, boring modern AAA slop. The story and characters are just plain awful and totally forgettable. If you like modern day slop this game is for you.
This Borderlands is a dead, rotting husk of a borderlands game. The gunplay and skill trees are fun. A VERY SELECT FEW of the characters are worth caring about, and not a single one of them is new to this game. The devs made it so they would irritate you over and over until you buy the dlc if you're playing without it. If you don't own the dlc, about every minute or so that you're in certain safehouses, you hear the same voice line over and over about starting one of the dlc missions. There are legendaries in the drop pool that you're required to own the dlc to use, but they'll drop even if you don't own it. Because of this, I will NEVER buy the dlc. What a scummy practice. btw, this includes golden chest drops! They also absolutely besmirched red chests. There's a never ending storm of red chests in this game, and they're consistently filled with CRAP. UTTER CRAP. whites, greens, blues. always. Red chests used to be special, now they're nothing. I'm going to finish this game because even buying it for $30 was overpriced, so I may as well get my money out of it. That being said, it's utter trash. Fetch quests galore, almost every quest in the game is "run 300m, pick something up, run another 300m, talk to someone, run another 500m, shoot some stuff, run all the way back to where you started". If you want to play Borderlands, play 2. It's the best one. It's funny, the loot is balanced, and the characters are well-written. I figured things would be bad after the car crash that Borderlands 3 was, but this is so much worse than I thought it could be. A horribly made cash grab by gearbox. WHAT. A. SHAME.
