Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
I've been a Borderlands fan for years. Whenever a new Borderlands game comes out, I know I'm about to lose countless hours because they're usually some of the most fun looter shooters ever made. That's why this is so incredibly disappointing. The performance of Borderlands 4 is, without exaggeration, some of the worst I've ever experienced in a AAA game. Even running it on one of the most powerful gaming rigs money can buy, the game is a technical disaster. Constant stuttering, inconsistent frame pacing, hitching, frame drops—you name the technical issue, it's here. It completely destroys the experience. This isn't a minor inconvenience or a few bugs. This is a game that simply should never have been released in this state. What's even more insulting is the price. Charging a premium price for a game that performs this badly is unacceptable. Then asking players to spend even more money on DLC on top of that just adds insult to injury. Developers and publishers need to be held accountable for releasing unfinished products. There should be real consequences for shipping games in this condition. Consumers shouldn't be expected to pay full price and then wait months while developers finish the game after release. At some point, it stops feeling like customers are paying to beta test a product. The developers should be ashamed of releasing Borderlands 4 in this state. I genuinely cannot believe this was considered acceptable. Unfortunately, I can't even refund the game because I purchased it through another retailer and redeemed it on Steam. If I could, I would. This is such a heartbreaking disappointment because underneath all the technical problems, I can see a fantastic Borderlands game trying to shine through. But the performance is so catastrophically bad that I simply can't recommend it to anyone. Do better. This has become far too common across the games industry, and players deserve better than this.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best AU #8, worst KR #94 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 5 climbed and 3 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 47/day in the week to Sep 11 → 371.67/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 41.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 47.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Just pure ♥♥♥♥. Runs like ♥♥♥♥, written like ♥♥♥♥, plays like ♥♥♥♥. Abilities have no impact to them, guns don't feel unique, open-world map sucks, movement is janky, game is too expensive, loading screens are insanely long, etc. etc. Just a huge steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥.
Almost a full year after release, game still runs like ♥♥♥♥. Horribly optimized
ok at best. sale only
This game is really, really bad. I don't write reviews still. Guys, do not ever, ever touch this nonsense. Played all Borderlands, wow, this one ,,,
Gearbox are actual geniuses. They made the shader compilation take 2 hours, so you can't refund the game.
It doesn't feel like a Borderlands game. Whatever this is, it isn't a Borderlands game.
This has to be the worst optimized game in existence. If I bought something this unoptimized 10 years ago I would've thought it was mining bitcoin in the background.
Guns suck, heroes suck, humor sucks, bosses suck, map sucks. BL3 was better and it was bad but still better than 4
The writing quality we've endured since Borderlands 3 is the norm now.
