[h1] Linux [/h1] I game on linux. If you do too: walk on. This is broken, don't get it. It will also break with every. single. update. When it starts, it usually runs decently. [h1] Game [/h1] After about 12h play time: meh. Traversal is as bad as the older games. The vehicle is really not a lot of fun, hard to control. Balance is all over the place, also as usual for this series. The humor gets old quickly. If you liked BL1 or 2, you probably like this. If not - not.
Have played for over 150 hours, tried various characters, had a decent time as Vex, the others were a constant slog. Made it through quite a few boss fights, opened a couple of vaults..... At some point all the characters become overwhelmed by adversaries, stuttering gameplay, broken navigation. You can change to the "easy" mode, or go broke. Normal gameplay seems to be out of my realm.... Xbox controller "Partially Supported", and they mean it. Better with keyboard and mouse for most stuff. Navigation is basically impossible, mostly blind and searching trying to figure out what to do, even for simple tasks. No real story line, brings back a lot of memories from Borderlands 3, a game with a plot, and even some really deep moments. Typhon De Leon, I missed you on this one. Plays alot like doom eternal, not much joy as a follow on to a decent game. 5/10, save your money. amd 3950 16 core, 64gb ram, Nvidia 3080ti, 2560x1440, ran mostly at ~70fps, taichi board, TB msata samsung 960 pro, miserable performance for an old, but solid system, top 10% of gaming computers on 3d mark..... 160hz benq monitor. Good luck.

It is pretty and the gunplay is great, even though the weapons are far less interesting than every other entry. The issues are the performance, and lack of any soul. This is what Borderlands is when the people making it only care about maximizing profit. The world is boring and the open world formula really does not work here. Everything is just less interesting than every other Borderlands game. It might be worth $15 but i would not buy it otherwise.
Do you wanna comiple shaders for 5 minutes or longer EVERY single time you play? becuase you have to.
This game is somehow the worst one out of the franchise and runs like dog water. I cant recommend

The QoL in this game is awful. Inspecting loot on the ground hides the information that actually matters. I can't see the parts, the exact stat rolls, or a real side-by-side against what I have equipped without picking the thing up and digging through menus. Hunting for a good roll turns into a chore of grab, open inventory, squint, compare, drop, repeat. It's tedious to the point of frustration. I didn't chase a single item when I checked out the last DLC. Not one. I have zero interest in the next one. This is a looter shooter. Comparing gear is the entire loop. How is the core system of the genre not getting first-class treatment? Every major patch should be making this better. Instead, nothing has changed since launch. Same missing info, same clunky menus, same guesswork. You know what does get love every single patch, without fail? Cosmetics. New heads, new skins, new recolors of recolors. I'm thrilled that I can earn a dozen slightly different shades of the same Vault Hunter outfit in a game I no longer want to open.
borderlands 4 is bad if you bought it day one your the biggest fool there is but its okay i am too. making this game 70$ then an additional 30$ for awful DLC story and a half decent character but if you buy the super deluxe edition for 120$ you get bad DLC a new character and the nostalgia of pearls from borderlands 2 but without any of the excitement from borderlands 2 the pricing makes zero sense if your a borderlands fan just wait 1-2 years for it to go on a good sale your not missing out till that happens
