Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

We've recently updated our demo — the first third of the game is now available for free! Once you're done, you can continue where you left off in the full game.

Carving through hordes of horrors isn’t the only thing your boomerang is good for: once thrown, you can slingshot directly to it, preserving momentum and launching yourself through the air. Slow down time and use well-aimed throws to get around, above, and behind your foes. Speed is everything, and only the nimblest boomerang-er will survive…
Fight otherworldly forces and look cool doing it. Impress the boomerang with stylish tricks and it’ll grant you strange powers to let you defeat the forces of the depths with greater ease. Kaspidae smiles upon you and your killer moves…
They creep and crawl from crevices, swoop and dive from the treetops, and spray nasty bile at you from all angles. Keep your wits about you — nowhere is safe. Whatever you do, don’t stand still, or you’ll surely be consumed...
Fight your way through the bowels of a ruined civilization and stop the nightmares from spreading to the rest of your world. Something lurks deep underneath these ruined halls, spewing corruption… can you defeat whatever it is? And even if you can… will that really be the end?

super fun game! love the movement, art style and minimalism of it all. easy to get into a flow.
Can a shooter without guns be one of the best shooters ever? Apparently so! Boomerang X has a feel of its own, unique to it, the movement and the gameplay are quite unique. Unique is also the gimmicky (but well thought out) gadget that was released with it, but mostly lost to time at the time of writing. The visuals are gorgeous, and are very conducive to the fast-paced gameplay. The mechanics are quite good, and added at a very resonable pace. This has become one of my all time favorites.

i wish steam had a thumbs to the side or informational review option this game is really good BUT i dont know if i would really pay 20 of my moneys for it because its really really short
looks awesome, feels great to play. probably not worth the $20 for the playtime you'll get out of it, but if you get it on sale it's totally worth it
The game was incredible when I first played it almost five years ago, and it's just as incredible now. It's a shame that the developers shut down and the game seems to have been completely overlooked, with only 1k reviews (albeit overwhelmingly positive ones). It's a tightly packed experience that you could definitely "beat" in one sitting, and paying $20 for that might be a tall ask for some folks, but the game isn't lacking in content or quality. You're constantly getting new skills, interesting levels, striking environments and challenging enemies every few minutes, all wrapped with a great soundtrack. You'll start off feeling like the movement and controls are a little cumbersome, but the game is designed in such a way that by the end you'll feel both stylish and untouchable - a result of how well the game subtly teaches you to engage and intertwine all of its mechanics. It's short, sure - but if you want a genuine hidden gem, this is it.
Lo malo es que es corto, pero que bueno que es
Good enemy and ability variety, polished, doesn't overstay it's welcome. Made my pinky pretty tired by the end :D
engaging gameplay, great visuals and sound design. 10/10. Short but sweet
got softlocked about ten minutes in and the buttons to return to the title screen and return to desktop both didn't work, so I closed the game directly. now it crashes right after the opening credits every time I open it. game seems good, wish I could play the rest of it
