About

The Songs have fallen silent and the world lies in ruin, lost to madness and despair. But within the high walls of Eren Keep, life persists – held together by unbreakable will and the iron fist of the Masked King, ruler and tyrant, savior and messiah.

Customers come with coin in their hands and demands on their lips, seeking blades of deadly precision, balance, and beauty. Meet their requests, perfect your craft and find trusted companions in one of the last beacons of civilization.
Yet in the dark corners of Eren Keep, whispers of rebellion stir. The former blacksmith’s mysterious disappearance looms as an ill omen over the role you play. But play it you must, for in Eren Keep, the right blade in the right hand will change everything.

I have developed a bit of an obsession with Bladesong! I am fascinated with creating beautiful blades, and I haven't seen a better game at presenting the right tools to create swords. The game is great for forging both realistic and fantasy blades, and I am personally fascinated with creating realistic single-edged blades with a fantasy element to them. I have played a little with the campaign mode but I have to admit that I have spent most of my time in creative mode. I am just starting to learn about more advanced techniques, engine tricks really, that make it possible to forge some truly stunning things that you couldn't achieve using the game's standard tools in the way you are *supposed to use them. Resuru Magic and Gnome Tech have allowed me to make custom elements on my swords that are unique to my blades. I am nowhere near as skilled as some of the Bladesong smiths who have put their examples on Youtube, but I am slowly learning more and getting better every day. Tips for beginners interested in this game: 🔹In creative mode switch to sliders rather than hammer for more precise control* 🔹Sliders, at least at the moment, are mouse controlled only, no controller, no keyboard. 🔹Sliders are not toggled, you click and drag the mouse. 🔹Because of the last two points, you need fine control. 🔹Lower your mouse pointer speed in system settings. 🔹Zoom in close to the blade when dragging sliders for very fine, precise control. Movements are relative. 🔹This will save you a lot of frustration trying to set exact lengths, widths and thicknesses. I do hope that the developers will implement toggles on "abilities" and allow fine control via keyboard as early access develops and progresses. This will make forging a lot "nicer?" I also look forward to some nice-to-have features in future updates such as the ability to add a realistic hamon to blade edges without having to resort to engine tricks like resmag (probably the hardest, but most realistic looking hamon you can achieve currently).

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I absolutely am addicted to this game. The smithing mechanics are great and I love the fact that you interact with the other characters in story mode. The creative mode is so much fun and the fact that you can export your blades as STL files to print out yourself is just amazing to me. Love this game!
I do recommend the game. Though I know it's in early access, there is a lot of uneccesary clicking, and this is mostly tied to the dialogue with NPCs. For instance, when you visit the merchant, there's a lot of clicking through dialogue that isn't necessary for buying/selling goods. I would appreciate if dialogue with frequently-visited NPCs were kept optional unless it was part of quest progression, and then it should go away when the quest is complete.
This game has no reason being this good. It's ostensibly a game about making swords, but the story mode! I haven't finished the story yet, but it is so good. A tale of survival in the midst of a magical post apocalypse full of heartbreak, triumph, betrayal, and hope. It's so well written. I didn't expect to get this invested in the lore and worldbuilding of a game about making swords, but here I am. Additionally, the sword making mechanics are really satisfying. It feels like you're making swords. You have all these little ways of shaping and honing (pun intended) your blades that you unlock as the story progresses. I love the vignettes of the people who come to buy your blades. your blades get people into jams, get people out of jams. I think Iago is my favorite recurring character. Just a man with a hobby for collecting swords. If I could draw, I'd make fanart of him. I might have to come back to this review after I've finished the story mode, but I have to be careful what time I sit down to play this game, because last night I was up past 1 AM making swords and trying to save people's lives!
game runs well, accomadates gamers with older specs very well. tutorial does enough to make it easy to grasp, though the layout of the menu and what every action does can be done bit better in explaining how to apply it but otherwise it does well. my only downer is lack of voiceacting for characters,as the opening intro was gripping and then all the characters, granted the dialogue and display are well done, loses its personality when having no voice acting to add that extra emotion one would feel when hearing how someone feels instead of just reading it and perceiving it fidderently but otherwise its a great game, your only limit is yourself, creative freedom crafted into a pristine blend of a blade
I thought i was picking up blacksmith simulator but somehow ended up investigating an occult conspiracy involving otherworldly pedo overlords. 10/10 On a side note the game is really heavy for what there is to display (mostly artwork).
