this game cant decide if its a kids game or a dark fantasy adult game.. I'd say given the seemingly eastern european influence.. the devs are adolescent minded adults.. or there is some kind of translation issue.. I dont know which.. either way, its just weirdly bad dialog and story.. scary for kids.. doesnt make a lot of sense for adults! but the game play is ok.. however, you cant tell what is an enemy til you shoot it! and given the morality system and the inability to save just prior... its kinda annoying! then there is getting stuck on a rock or on a ledge.. and being unable to move.. shouldnt happen in a modern game! only buggy games and poorly tested ones! and there are some REALLY annoying aspects to this game.. trying to use the good magic spell on an object and it also hits a stick insect.. or accidentally loosing an arrow, hitting a random bird.. resulting in a bad moral action.. requiring another reload.. really despise the lack of user controlled saving.. it's just a constant time wasting exercise running back and forth! and you cant just select 'load game'! I mean WTF!?! absolute morons... so while I've 'recommended' it.. buyer beware!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I like the idea of Blacktail, but it doesn't feel like the designers were able to decide what they were making -- too silly to be serious, too dark to be light-hearted, too restricted to be open-world, too heavy on sidetracking and exploration to be story-driven, too linear to be choice-driven. And a rather arbitrary morality slider -- be cruel or kind mostly to random woodland creatures and fairtyale beings for small rewards, rather than meaningful choices. So it ends up kinda good in a lot of ways, but not actually good in many of them.
One of the games I am glad to have played and finished. The gameplay is fun, if a bit repetitive at times, but with the length of the game itself being relatively short, this is probably hardly an issue for most players. The game and the world are quite beautiful and fun to explore. Collectibles and Side Quests do not feel like a chore. As for the story, its good. Unfortunately, the ending was a bit disappointing. Not in the contents, but rather its presentation. Still beats most current AAA-stories with ease. Characters are fun, interesting and, most importantly, likeable, the morality system is well-done and some mechanics (i. e. Inverse Artifact) really show that the devs cared to make the game enjoyable and the achievement hunting less of a chore. Personally, I would get it on sale since I think 30 bucks might make some look less favorably on it. I recommend though.
Chill game, beautiful looking with folklore theme.
Okay-ish at first, but rather simplistic and padded. I expected more interesting magic, more stealth, or on the contrary more action-oriented archery like in Horizon, but the combat is neither. There are only a few seasonal locations with a handful of quests, and the level design is not good enough to carry all the running around. Story and art direction did not capture me either. Slavic folklore feels filtered through a rather perverse Western view, mixed with generic girl-power writing. Dropped after an hour — I don’t expect the core gameplay to improve much.
Neutral review = story, visuals, vibe, lore, characters are positives, gameplay has some problems, as an archery game I have troubles with it being mostly a random stick and feather gathering game to insta craft arrows which I insta spam and loose when I get overwhelmed by tiny kobold -esque mons. Start was strong and invested, after 2 hours I already had to leave it be. I can recommend it as start is strong and can influence non slavic people to start myth explorations, but I cant recommend it for a full price
Played it whilst high af... was very scary, especially the weird dream things or whatever they were...
ENJOYING THE ART STYLE AND LORE FILLED STORY
its good
