BioShock is a shooter unlike any other, loaded with unique weapons and tactics. Complete with an arsenal of revolvers, shotguns, and grenade launchers, players will be forced to genetically modify their DNA to become an even deadlier weapon.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 11.43/day in the week to Aug 20 → 18.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
The age is obvious but the advantages compensate it
Still remember playing it back in a day! Maps are relatively big and complex to explore Gameplay features are rich and challenging The visuals of the remastered one are great But it's not for everyone, too convoluted at times
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my VR mod gameplay here: https://youtu.be/_Uc7O15H4p0 Yes, you can now play BioShock™ Remastered in VR with a VR mod made by a vibe coder. Beware that there are two different VR mods currently for this game. They both have 6DOD motion controls, however, the one that worked for me with less issues was the one made by BioVRDev (search for it). The mod is totally free. It's an easy install. You may even want to get the HD texture mod prior to installing the VR mod one. I was getting mostly 90 fps on my RTX 5090. The only issue I experienced was that when you died and resurrected at the Vita-Camber, the stereo 3D would become warped. However, simply reloading fix the issue (so save often). Keep in mind, currently, melee is a combination of real swings plus right trigger. So not real VR physics. There's also some quirky graphical glitches that happen in the desktop view, but which are not present in VR.
I bought this game! 14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Bioshock is a first person shooter. The game is set in a under water city where a rick story is part of the action. You'll have a complete arsenal at your disposal from simple revolvers to grenade launchers and chemical throwers, but you'll also be forced to genetically modify your DNA to create an even more deadly weapon: you. The remastered Bioshock brings many updates for modern systems. The game is also 64-bit for modern systems. I played this on my Dell XPS 9570 with GTX 1050 Ti Max Q graphics.
I have so many great memories with this game. Playing the remastered version for the first time brought it all back and more. Pros: Graphics/Style - Bioshock will go down in my memories as one of the most beautiful, eerie and unsettling games out there. It truthfully world builds so well in so many ways that graphically speaking in this remastered version, holds up very well. I loved this game so much and this remaster doesn't disappoint in this aspect. Gameplay - This game defined generations (and still does) of video games with its gameplay. Between the ability to unlock different powers and alternating between different weapons and dual wielding them to create interesting combinations it all just hits so well for a satisfying first person shooter experience. Powers - Plenty of powers to unlock in this game and the way they are utilized not just for combat but for world exploration really puts it all together nicely. Weapons - This game features a ton of weapons with upgrades that can help really showcase different build variations. Story - Its bioshock. One of the greatest stores in gaming history. The story of rapture opened and its infamous world building and ultimately the twist at the end thats STILL talked about today, will never not be good. Level design - The game features classic backtracking but its done so well you dont even notice its happening half the time. The level design is so well done I wish games would do this more. Bosses - The boss battles in this game are classic and super fun. They are not overly complicated but each boss is earned, their personality is showcased and theyre all interesting. Cons: I cant go back in time and experience it all again for the first time. Overall Bioshock is a legendary game for a reason, if for some reason you havent played it, you need to set aside time to play it. This remastered version does everything extremely well and it comes with achievements so you can have fun hunting them. Thanks for reading.
No gamer should miss out on this one.
Not for me. I gave thia game about 5 hours because I wanted to give it a fair chance. Unfortunately, it never clicked. The atmosphere and setting are interesting, but the gameplay felt repetitive. A huge portion of my time was spent searching every room for supplies, backtracking, taking research photos, hacking machines, and looking for the next objective. Even after unlocking all the weapons and several Plasmids, the combat never became exciting enough to keep me engaged. The biggest issue for me was that the game feels dated. I also encountered multiple bugs where I became trapped in rooms and couldn't progress without reloading an earlier save, which became frustrating. The save system didn't make those situations any better. I understand why this game is considered a classic. The story, world-building, and atmosphere are clearly what many people love about it. But if you're looking for a fast-paced shooter or you don't enjoy constantly scavenging for items and exploring every corner, this may not be the game for you. I don't regret trying it, but it wasn't worth the money for me, and I won't be continuing with BioShock 2 Remastered or BioShock Infinite. they will be collecting more of digital dust in my library
Despite the remaster, it definitely plays like a game from 2007, which is not always a bad thing, but can lead to frustrating moments here and there. The story and freedom to approach objectives in different ways are clear highlights and probably why this game is remembered fondly despite its age.
