Biomass

This is one of the choppiest 2D platformers I've seen in years. The game leaves no doubt as to the cause with "Made by unity" displayed right at the game starts. There are a bunch of frame settings that the creator has neglected to change in order for a 2D game to run smoothly on Unity. It's a problem that used to plague every single 2D game made using unity (except mushroom 11) until about 4 years ago. Aside from that, the controls just don't feel natural and there is no map. Put this all together and this game is definitely a no.

I really dig the feel of this game and would love to explore the world more, but I suck and have hit a wall. :(

Beautiful music and atmosphere. Replayability is vital part of the game - you can complete it only on NG+3-4. Mechanic is sometimes unforgivable, but that's ok.

Really enjoyed this game. Nice tight action game with a unique world and great gameplay. Good controls make this a fun challenge.

Biomass is an amazing indie metroidvania. There's a lot of this kind of genre but I recommend playing Biomass more than a lot of them. It has fun mechanics you can use to your advantage, a handful of secrets, multiple routes/endings and really fun combat. 9/10

Multiple playthroughs required (like Nier in that way). Great, unique 2d action RPG with unique and interesting world and story and very solid combat gameplay. A true hidden game, I stumbled across this by accident. Not sure why this isn't more well known. Deep progression system, lot of player choices to be made. Downside is it's got that souls like mystery to it as far as side quests and what to do to get the different endings, I ended up looking some of it up on forums. Overall it's a unique game with fun combat and cool story 9/10 looking fwd to running thru again in future.

Absolutely fantastic game. Story 10/10, original and with very interesting twists, but in a soulslike fashion, if you don't want to learn or understand it, you can ... But you're definitely missing the key aspect of the game. Very glad I stumbled upon this gem.
