Game Good, However i have several problems with it. Its the Balancing. I feel like I'm doing something wrong, because enemies in the second area feel to strong even at the start. I go through all of Stage 1, never skipping to the boss, i play with lots of buffs, and not really any de-buffs. I am LITERALLY using all the help i can get but most of my runs end at the start if stage 2. Again maybe i have a skill issue. additionally, each damage/bullet type has a unique effect, the power notes buff these effects and their chances to apply. If only i had the items to allow my bullets to apply the effects. Its not a case that they're too rare, but rather passives themselves feel hard to come by. (Even with enemies dropping them). Only a select few rooms even dare to offer passives, and most of the time i find rooms dropping currency or "random" loot. That's another thing. Currency, it de-spawns after a while, which is the WORST mechanic any game can add, i would understand if it was to optimise performance, but it will de-spawn during fights, its hard enough to get to it after killing the enemies, but even harder to find in the dark. I would complain about the darkness, but i can't really. I bring it upon myself by playing on a laptop with almost minimum brightness. Enemies on the other hand, hurt me spiritually. They feature 3 types: Normal, "Special", and Elite. Normal, are well normal. low difficulty but dangerous in groups Elite are simple, bit strong, but only ever one in a room, well balanced (i think) Then there are the special enemies. Basically they're the normal enemies but buffed, you can tell them apart because they're a different colour to the normal enemies. I've come across 4 Yellow, drop bombs when they Die Green, are fast Blue, are big Purple, split into three when they die, My only comment on these are Worms. Another issue is that progression feels slow, meta upgrades that give starting bonuses are cool, if you get them, even then you only pick one. further down the line they get rather expensive which would be fair, if they actually improved the game play. I rarely come across anything other then "Helix Bullets" and "Comet" equipment wise. (Although "Comet" is my favourite). and passive wise, its always the movement speed increase or dodge distance increase, sometimes a little light range increase is sprinkled in for good measure. Over all the difficulty of the game scales to quickly for me, without offering enough to flatten the curve. Again Good Game, great time killer, and a fun attack system. It is just brought down by the lack of balance in favour of the player. That, or I'm just bad (which is the most likely option) Could be fixed by adding a "easy" mode. I.E: rooms more rewarding less purple Worms higher currency drops more options when picking equipment/passives when offered being giving ALL the starter upgrades i bought, NOT one. Although that is unlikely cause the game feels like it was a continuation of one of those 7 day game dev challenges, which i think is also how i first discovered the game. TLDR: Good Game, Fun, but bad Difficulty Curve
