Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 19 → 5.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is fun, but the voice acting detracts from the game - a bunch of yelling and grunting and screaming, it's annoying with male voice actors, and just as bad with female ones. They come across as unintelligent.

In brief: Poorly optimized. Crashes whenever it feels like. Wretchedly political in vapid, shallow, and unrealistically stupid ways. In full: For the lore heads out there, obviously these people were unable to design their own mech game with established lore and get their own fanbase so as the parasites they are they had to latch onto battletech. A fanfiction has been inserted into the timeline with all the grace and care of slapping a raw rotting trout onto the pages of a novel in a library. The campaign is locked on rails from the get go and gone are the days when a merc could decide who they are allied with. Everything happens because it is written that way to happen. Every once in a while it gives you a list of ways to respond to a question or statement by other characters. None of these choices matter. They're literally just different versions of "skip dialogue" with vestigial words and phrases attached. The only reason you should investigate them at all is to find the one that doesn't ask any questions so you can just move on. There are no complex characters. There are no complex relationships. Everyone is so gosh darn diverse that the writers were obviously too uncomfortable to give anyone character flaws or anything actually interesting so everything is so monotonous and boring. This wouldn't be so bad if the game didn't spotlight every single one of these bland pieces of cardboard with a closeup and their own section of the ship to run complete with intricate designs and sounds. Which also wouldn't be so bad if the game was optimized at all. Every time I have to swap to a different area of the ship I hold my breath for the crash I am anticipating in a game that at this point is YEARS old and obviously has been abandoned by the developers for greener pastures. The random events created by your randomly generated mechwarrior pilots randomly farting around on the ship are genuinely more interesting than the entire campaign. Beneath all of that is a glimmer of the old game from ages past and if you put in the effort to heavily mod this game (and maybe just play a career instead) it can finally shake the performance issues and other detritus that have accumulated on it and you can have a decent experience creating mechs and running missions. I got this on sale for a rock bottom price and I still think I paid too much for it.
If you enjoy XCOM you will absolutely love this game. Its so much fun customizing your mechs and then upgrading the weapons. Then leveling up your pilots and unlocking abilities that pair perfectly with the mech.
Base game is a perfect introduction for a gamer to Battletech universe. Gameplay is fun for turn based combat and definitely allowing for a lot of different approaches to a mission depending on mechs you bring into it. Mechs can be modified and in as in vanilla it's easy to learn modded experience provide interesting expansion to it. Fully recommend going through full campaign vanilla once and jumping into modded experience like BT:Advanced 3062 or Roguetech. Grass is not greener here if you're from 40k but it has its own shade which some might prefer more
Among my favorite games on Steam, a spiritual successor to the table top version. Has some graphic glitches now and a again but you are able to finish the mission when it does happen and reload, no biggie really.
Like classic turn based battletech from days past. Better when teams play via multiplayer.
A poorly designed game for the battle tech universe. Far to many missions pit you against waves of Enemy with no drops of your own even though you have at a point 3 mech bays of mechs and pilots. Other factor is game balance issues. Light mechs become far to powerful esp in wave tactics where your 4 mech lance get hit by multiple waves of light and med mechs. The board game tonnage balance was used often to make a balanced game. This will throw 1/3 of your weight at you in waves waves. Game quickly becomes boring since you are just doing a rinse and repeat over and over.
Eines der besten Mech-Spiele die es gibt. Ich hoffe auf Nachfolger
