Bastion

This game has been sitting in my library for ages. Wish I played it sooner. Solid, short, and challenging/fun.

A superb, tastefully short experience that's full of character and simple, yet fun game play. The narration and soundtrack were the standouts.

The people that would go on to make Hades and Hades II started out there; a gorgeous little action RPG that doesn't overstay its welcome.

You know... here I am playing this game 15 years after release. After they've come out with 4 more games and after I have played Hades and honestly, it shows where the vision started and the refinement going forward. Sure, this is their first game as a studio and it is unfair to compare a newer game to this, but it honestly stands firm on its own. Bastion was a fun experience, not as short as I had initially thought, but it definitely showed the hype was well deserved back when it first came out. I would recommend to those who are just playing to definitely turn the subtitles on (a feature that is turned off by default) just to really also see what the narrator is saying while you're fiddling around and figuring out how to dodge an incoming attack or obstacle. I would say if you're interested, play it if you can, and if you are on the fence, definitely get it up on a steam sale. There is a new game plus (which at the time of writing this review, I have not delved into) but I have completed the game to finish. In case the price point is a bit steep.

Игра куплена в горбатые годы, почему не прошел не помню...решил исправить положение и не пожалел. Могу смело заявить, что игра прошла проверку временем. Да геймплей простоват, но подача и само повествование на высоте. Визуал прост, но цепляет, озвучка и музыкальное сопровождение божественно, хотя при "прохождении" испытаний, особенно на счёт, начинает подташнивать....В любом случае игру рекомендую, неспешно скоротать вечера и получить удовольствие самое то)

Juego de Súper Giant Games, sello de calidad. El primero del estudio, divertido, atrapante, dificultad media y una historia que atrapa. Jugalo y ya verás como luego vas por los demás juegos del estudio. Fascinante 10/10.
