This is where it all started for Supergiant, and for the modern indie gaming movement at large. It's not as snappy as Hades, as stylish as Transistor, or as well-written as Pyre, but you can see where they all sprung from. And it still holds up as a good time today.
It's not a bad game, but I feel this one was massively overhyped when it came out. The story was nothing special, and I felt the combat got repetitive at some point. If you are a fan of stuff like Hades then definitely give it a go, but if you aren't into that type of game you can skip this one.
All started here. And now we have Hades (I and II). Thanks Supergiant Games for all the love you put in videogames.
The kid thought about his adventures and decided they were worth recommending to a friend.
One of the greatest long term games I have ever played solo in my life. Brilliant. I literally break down crying at some of the narrative.
