Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 3 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A surreal PSX-style horror micro-game set over seven increasingly nightmarish days in a decaying apartment. Each day mixes exploration, environmental interaction, and eventually grotesque enemies, stunned with a timed parry before being finished off. It starts with an uncomfortable house party and sinks into body horror, blending Silent Hill's psychological decay with the lo-fi PSX look of Bloodwash. Like Nobody's Home, it turns an ordinary apartment into a mirror of the protagonist's deteriorating psyche, while its surreal ambiguity recalls Who's Lila?. Its greatest strength is atmosphere. Day 1 perfectly captures social anxiety: guests block your way inside your own apartment, conversations feel distant, you awkwardly dodge people, and the only interaction is someone asking you to fetch another beer. As the apartment and protagonist's body deform together, the game evokes alienation, agoraphobia, body dysmorphia, self-hatred, and the drain of social interaction. Each day traps the player in an anxious mind, replaying and trying to bury an embarrassing social encounter. Its aesthetic, recalling John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, is enhanced by superb texture work, effective use of darkness, limited draw distance, and a crosshair-like pixel overlay that gives it an identity beyond simple retro nostalgia. The soundtrack mostly supports the oppressive mood, though the retro action-style music in Day 6 feels out of place. barbotine falters in substance. Its psychological symbolism invites readings of social anxiety, self-loathing, and mental illness, but never develops them into a meaningful payoff, and the ending is cryptic. Meaning depends largely on the player's imagery, making the experience feel like a proof of concept. Combat only reinforces that weakness. Once enemies appear, atmosphere gives way to frustration: extremely unforgiving parry windows, awkward collision, two enemies that can get stuck on staircases, and inconsistent spawning make encounters unreliable. barbotine slowly falls apart before it can explain itself, leaving strong emotions behind but never quite proving there's anything beneath them. 4/10

Short and fun horror game. Inspired by Silent Hill? GO BUY IT!!!
Like any good symbolic horror fiction, it makes itself interesting and evocative independently of how the player may interpret the symbolism. The delightfully grimy, murky aesthetics and presentation, combined with the measured escalation of everything going bad, make the experience worth having -- and because of that, I voluntarily thought about what it all meant as I played. I didn't come up with a specific answer, but I believed that there was a specific answer, which is the ideal balance to strike in many cases. The addition of combat is a very good idea, and for the most part it's implemented well. I do think that the quickest of the enemy attacks could stand to be tweaked a little -- I felt like I needed just a few more milliseconds to react to it, whereas the timing on the other attacks is quite easy. As "phantasmagorical party aftermath" games go, I must say that I prefer Nobody's Home, but Barbotine is a very solid addition to the genre.
To me, a game about social anxiety, fixation, and self-improvement, Barbotine unfolds over nearly half an hour as a question: how do we overcome ourselves to become something better tomorrow?
英語ができなくたって楽しめる! ここが高評価ポイントです あと、このグラフィックが妙に癖になります… ストーリーは正直「???」だけど考察が楽しめそうです アクションは最初戸惑いましたが慣れるとおもしろい おススメです
The amount of people who don't get that it is not supposed to be a "game game" is seriously concerning. It is art. It is not meant to be fun. And just as all arts, it's meaning can be different to everyone. To me it is a perfect representation of what social anxiety can do to someone. How it can destroy your mind and how hard it is trying to fix it. If you are going to buy this, buy this viewing it as am interactive art project, not a game.
short and sweet if you love grunge and dark aesthetic, the modelling is also very good and im happy i bought this
Short and simple horror-action game. I will admit that the combat did start to irritate me at the end, but I turned on easy mode and was fine after that. Two of the enemies are lodged on the stairs and bug out sometimes, and god forbid you stand in the wrong place when they spawn, because they will attack from underneath you.
