So I've owned this game for about 10 years now, and before I say anything else; I can not express just how much I loved this game the first time I ever played it. To me it was the perfect city/society building game, or at least the start to one. Regardless of this game having been abandoned by the dev/devs (not sure the cause, I have had so much fun with this game, and very well may again in the future. But, that is exactly why I am writing this review. I was scrolling through my library and happen to see "Banished" and remembered how much fun I had with such an incomplete game. I have kept up hope throughout the years that one day the lovely person or people that began this perfect project would return and continue to build upon the very strudy structure they started for this game. So, if you're gonna buy this game just know you will hit a point in this game where you'll want more things to add to your society, but there isn't any just yet. Though, nonetheless, you'll love what it has to offer.

Well, game truth to be told, game is fun for couple of hours, every map created is randomized in everything, so why can't I recommend it? It has bad optimization, if you play on big map and get 800+ population your fps will drop and it will get laggy You can't forbid some resources from being used, for example, you need Coal (Which can be depleted in queries making that spot of hill totally unusable) to make Steel Tools that significantly boost your production rates, but people keep using it as fuel even though you can make Fuel by chopping wood that can be replanted And what pissed me the most is that Achievement - Obtain 500 people after 200 years, I was at 500 people on year 85, and to obtain it now I need to "play" for another 115 years which is like 10+ real life hours watching them randomly dying from all kind of crap because when epidemic starts, why would they visit doctor when they can roam town infecting others before they eventually do pay him a visit edit: after nearly 6h of real life afk hours I've managed to get that damn achievement because I'm stubborn, still a bad game, uninstalling now

Honestly one of the best colony games out there, I actually think its one of the first. Also has a great modding community.

180h plus tard, ce jeu reste un banger...

Characters constantly die of hunger despite having variety of food, it's really frustrating. I don't know if it's a bug of what but i'm giving up.
