Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.33/day in the week to Aug 5 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Bangkok Story: A Stray Dog is a 2D story driven adventure about the ups and downs of life and how tragic events can have such a long lasting affect. I won't give any details about the story because I don't want to give anything away, but it is quite harrowing in places, but uplifting in others, and the story is wonderfully presented and directed with some lovely graphical touches and a very professionally put together story. If you enjoy narrative games or visual novels then I would definitely recommend checking this one out. It has an unusual story, based on true events, and you can tell a lot of love went into both the story and game. I can guarantee that there will be moments that will bring you to tears or put a lump in your throat! I was interested in this story because we have given a home to two street dogs so the promise of a touching story between a homeless man and a stray dog was something that I thought I might enjoy, and I really did. When our protagonist, Boon, has hit rock bottom and lost all hope there's nothing like the unconditional love of a dog to melt your heart, and this is what happens when Boon meets a stray dog whilst being homeless and struggling on the streets. The dog provides such warmth and companionship that he names it 'Yaa' which means medicine, because the dog's love healed him. We see some touching moments between Boon and Yaa and you can even interact with the dog by petting her head, hugging her, stroking her, and exchanging "I love yous". https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3733750325 The story revolves around an interview by a popular blogger where Boon tells the story of his childhood, his upbringing, and how he ended up being homeless. There's quite a lot of dialogue to read but it is split into four parts and there are plenty of save spots to regularly save your game whenever you like. The game is also interactive which helps break up text, like some combat scenes and playing fairground games, and dialogues are never very long with conversations bouncing backwards and forwards. The game takes around twelve hours to complete and expect some intense story lines which can depict some sensitive subjects. There's only a handful of characters in the game so they all get their stories told and we really get to know them and their personalities. I was very impressed by how events were depicted in the game. It always amazes me how much detail can be injected into a 2D graphical adventure, and the game is full of nice touches along the way and well presented and thoughtful transitions between scenes. Often, you'll get to explore the area on foot or on your bike, and although things are mostly linear, it is a welcome break from reading just to stretch your legs. If at any point you are wondering what to do next you can access Boon's thoughts which will clarify your next move. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3728518262 There's some lovely sounding original music in the game which emphasises the highs and lows really well but there is no voice acting. Text is very easy to read and can be skipped if required. There are achievements to earn but I would advise looking to see what the achievements are before you start because a lot of them may require you to make a save at certain points where you need to make a choice, and because there is no chapter select afterwards, it will require another long playthrough, so save your game often and use up the plentiful slots.
FINAL THOUGHTS

Bangkok Story: A Stray Dog is a roller coaster of emotional story telling and it's not afraid to touch on some sensitive subjects which can be dramatic and unsettling at times. The story is very unusual and wonderfully presented throughout with some nice original music. I would definitely recommend this to people who are looking for something different and are not adverse to reading a lot of dialogue, but saying that there are plenty of opportunities to take a break, and the dialogue all adds to a rich story with lots of touching moments. What a journey... 😭 I am completely overwhelmed by the stories and characters in this game. I cried like a baby, and honestly, I couldn't recommend it enough. Huge love and thanks to everyone who worked on and created this game. 🎮❤️
Prior to release, I'd seen the demo for the game in a Next Fest and after reading the synopsis, knew this was going to be special. It absolutely did not disappoint. The journey that Boon goes through in this game is heartfelt, funny, tragic, and inspiring. I know there are a few games that deal with homelessness on Steam and that it's an odd subject to focus on as a game, but Bangkok Story makes it work. The gameplay leans more kinetic novel than something like Undertale, Yume Nikki, or any other famous RPGMaker type game. There are light timing-based minigames, but otherwise it's exploration focused between major story beats. Speaking of the story, it definitely goes places, breaking down the main character's story by era, and intertwining all of the supporting characters along the way. No spoilers, per the creator's request, but this game will make you cry, no doubt. It's never too overbearing with the story events, but the culmination of events and the humanity of what occurs throughout make it extremely touching and you'll definitely find yourself impacted by Boon's tale. In terms of critique, the only things I can say are: - Some of the other reviews mention, it's a bit heavy on the use of ellipses, censorship of swearing (which definitely felt the most out of place), and "trope-y" dialogue in some places, but it's forgivable because the game doesn't wear out its welcome and is fairly briskly paced. - While playing on the Steam Deck, I had two issues: one wherein the controller wouldn't function correctly at the main menu, meaning I'd have to switch inputs to load my game. The second was that the game crashed right as we were getting to the final scene, pre-credits, so I had to restart that section. Not a huge deal but definitely a bit of a bummer given that I was sobbing like a baby when it happened. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this if you'd like a bit of insight into Thai culture, perspective on homelessness that isn't presented as crude or crass, or if you just need something to make you feel good, bad, good, bad, and then hopeful.
good story
I got the normal ending. The game system is simple, but the story is very moving. If you're interested, I highly recommend playing it.
Well, i don't get teared up from games very much. And this managed to get a couple to come out. Respect for that alone. As well as the story being a jolly good time, as well, you don't really get emotional like this if the story DOESN'T land. 10/10 would blow away my 10$ again.
Truly a very emotional and heartwarming story game....<3. I could feel that there was so much love that was put into this game and this relates to so many other stories I heard from homeless people out on the streets... Not all homeless people became homeless because they wanted that life, it was forced upon them due to many different circumstances. Mental health is strongly emphasis in this game, which happens to many out on the streets.... In the game, the dog becoming the emotional support has truly touched my heart this week, since I recently lost my loyal friend, family and companion last week T-T; Pets are always there to help you keep going through both good and bad times. Thanks so much for making this game! I have enjoyed it very much. T-T I love how you gave small intermission pauses for each chapter at the end for water, washroom or mental health breaks. I could tell you truly also care about the people playing this game as well. <3
