It's criminal that this game has as few reviews as it does, as its probably the best Super Monkey Ball like game I've played in literally decades? It adds new things to the formula, such as teleports, switches activated via gaze, and a first person mode. I've played and unlocked up to the Master levels, but don't feel ready to tackle them just yet since its 50 stages in a row. Thus far none of the stages are brutal, but if its like other games in the genre its saved for the end bits. The one criticism I have is a lot of quality of life features are locked behind a token exchange system, when they should just be enabled always (like quick retry, etc). I also wish there were more characters/skins/level designs to unlock (and maybe there are and I just haven't found them.) Very good, highly recommended, and clearly under discovered.
No save data.. when Ive completed some levels, quit the game, and play the game again, it put me on first level.. :'(

Fun Monkey Ball-like game that has some interesting gameplay elements woven into it! It has a tendency to crash, which is a bit sad, but the different modes made it fun to play around with. It doesn't last long, however, but then again, the replayability is definitely there. Definitely can recommend it!
Ballygon is a really fun ball game. Controls well, has fun levels, and comes up with some neat gimmicks. I have some issues with some of the level deisgns, and I don't think the bounce pads and sight gimmicks entirely work right, but honestly if you're itching to play more ball games, this is a fun one that can be done in an afternoon.
I'm a fan of pretty much any ball roller (Monkey Ball, Marble Madness, Paperball, Hamsterball, Rolled Out etc) and for me this one definitely stacks up to them. There's some new mechanics and great level design but the best part is it just feels really good to roll, good weight, gravity, sounds etc. Really one of the best ball rolling games on steam right now and I hope it gets more love shown it's way. Absolutely recommend!
Ballygon has been a blast to play! While it's similar to monkey ball, I like how the game has slightly different physics and feels like a unique game. The energy mechanic is a nice change to the traditional lives system (although the 5x bonus feels a bit busted).
probably the best monkey ball type game in the category of "actually trying to just be monkey ball". the level design is really good, basically. the gimmicks are Fine, there aren't that many levels that use them and they mesh well with the normal gameplay. ive not completed the final 10 lvls yet, but of the ones i have done (which is Most of them) there are like only 2 stages i thought were Bad. (the one that's like the monkey ball "exam" courses is too easy right up until the final obstacle, creating an annoying loop of going through the motions for like 40 seconds until you get another try at the hard part. then a later level that uses the looking mechanic to remove platforms as you ascend, it was just kinda clunky feeling.) basically it just really Feels like a monkey ball game, with a solid platter of SMB1 type simple levels, and SMB2 type gimmick levels. the camera works well (while not being exactly the same as MB) even if you don't use the right stick to camera control. but having the option is nice. there is a mechanic in which you gather touchies in levels to get colors and whatnot from a shop, which is Fine, im not the sort to enjoy gathering collectibles but whatever it's unintrusive enough. they give you enough coins to buy the quick restart and other essentials from the get go. the fact that you have to unlock that is Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really Really dumb. but again, you can just get it right at the start so my intense distaste for the shop truly amounts to nothing. good game buy it. oh and also the split between casual mode and the challenge mode is really nice, if all you wanna do is just throw your head against the brick wall with infinite lives until you do it the game just Lets You. very nice. cute robot!!!!! make a plushie!!!! i wont buy it cuz im poor but i'll appreciate its existence nonetheless!!!!!
Controller is not required. My sanity is optional.
If you like Monkey Ball, you'll like this game. If not, you won't. Plain and simple. It's a little rough around the edges at times but overall its a great experience.
Controls take a bit of getting used to but that is 100% overshadowed by the consistently creative level design and high challenge run potential.
