WTF Beamdog. BG 1 & 2 EE gets an update and now wont launch. not ONR of the 6 proposed "fixes" work. So i guess both my games just wont work now. F&%K me i guess.

[hr][/hr] [h2]The Characters[/h2] What makes Baldur's Gate II special isn't its combat system or its graphics. It's the people you meet along the way. Your companions aren't simply collections of abilities following you around. They have personalities, opinions, conflicts, ambitions, and stories of their own. They argue with each other. They react to your decisions. They can become friends, rivals, or something more. After enough time together, they stop feeling like party members and start feeling like people you've shared an adventure with. That's something modern RPGs still struggle to replicate. [hr][/hr] [h2]A Story Worth Getting Lost In[/h2] Baldur's Gate II doesn't constantly need to remind you that you're the hero. It gives you a world full of problems and lets you decide which ones are worth solving. You can pursue the main story. You can wander off for hours. You can become involved in your companions' lives. You can stumble into entire adventures you never knew existed. The result is a game that feels less like following a questline and more like living through an adventure. Baldur's Gate II is one of the reasons they have such a high bar to clear.

Jeu culte qui, avec BG1, Fallout 1 et 2, Icewind Dale 1 et Arcanum ont fondé ma passion pour les jeux vidéo et les JdR. Pas de quête FEDEX ici. Tout prend sens, tout est passionnant. Plusieurs combats sont ardus et ce jeu m'a paru plus dur que BG1, notamment dans l'extension Throne of Baal incluse. Note : 18/20.

262 hours, 100% achievements. Played after BG1+SoD — Baldur’s Gate II + ToB is a masterpiece: incredible writing, deep tactical combat, endless replayability. Still replaying. Must-play.
It was fantastic in the 90's and still remains so.
For it's time a god tier game, even for modern day games worth a play for people who like the genre but haven't played it.
