Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Aug 14 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Your journey begins as all great cRPG tales once did: quietly, within the walls of home, before fate tears everything open.
Forced from the safety of Candlekeep under mysterious circumstances, you’re thrust into a conflict that threatens to ignite the Sword Coast. Your world has always been limited to the fortress library’s ancient halls, where your foster father, Gorion, worked tirelessly to shield you from dangers you never understood.
All of that is about to change, setting you on the path that made Baldur’s Gate a legend.

I like old RPG's quite a lot but this one didn't feel good, I literally forced myself to finish the game. This game is ages behind Fallout 1. First of all you are lost, the game doesn't really tell you what to do, what weapons to use, how to upgrade them or how to distribute your stat points. A game is played for fun, you can't expect a player to memorise a guidebook for hours. Stat distribution and item bonuses are a huge unknown. So I was a warrior with a long sword, I though it was two handed but it wasn't so I ended up giving stat points for one handed and two handed weapon styles and I still don't know what kind of effect they have on the hits. I gave shields to all my chars even though some of them were archers or using two handed weapons, were the shields still active? Did two handed weapon style stats work for spears? I had different helmets with no bonuses, does that mean they were the same? What about hundreds of gems, rings and necklaces you get as loot items? What am I supposed to do with them? Are they somehow combined to make a proper item? The game doesn't tell you. I ended up comparing so many items on AI with photos. AI seems to know it very well, the problem is as a fun player you don't. Then there are some mobs you can't possibly defeat, like those yellow alligators that turn you into stone. You have to ask once again AI, it turns out there's an NPC goblin which is immune to petrification spells. You definitely need a mage in your team but I couldn't find any until the Baldur's Gate city. Even though I was lawful good none of the mages I saved or talked wanted to join my party, they just walked away. Then there's the issue with skill bar. Every time you use a skill it closes and the images are so small you are never sure what you are doing. It's literally impossible to see the buffs on a character on party screen. In-game-AI is awful. You can't create formations to keep your mage or priest behind your tanks. They just run forward no matter what and get 2 hit killed. Even your archers and slingers go into chest to chest positions with the enemy just to shoot. Even if your mage has so many skills you can only use a few of them during a fight, others are either blocked by your party members in friendly fires or to slow to execute. Plus, you don't really know how does fire resistance work or how much your skills will hurt. There are useless paragraphs under skills explanations. And buffs get timed out before you can give them to all your party, they are active for like a minute I think. Story was extremely dull and boring. Especially near the end when I was just craving to kill the boss. They say he's in Candlekeep, you go there find his men and kill them. You get imprisoned and escape. They tell you he fled Baldur's Gate again. You go there to his building but he has just left you kill his men. They tell you he's in sewers you go there kill his men they tell you he's in Iron Throne castle, you go there kill his men they tell you he escaped to some underground city, you go there kill or leave to die his men they tell you he's in a maze, after the maze again his man tell you he's in some temple, you go there meet some crazy strong mobs outside and they attack you, I somehow just sneaked away without a fight. Then you arrive at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ final map. You are happy, you think it's going to end soon, how naive. The ending, that boss fight was terrible. I fought Saveron (I won't even google the proper name) along with 3 or 4 mages with him. My party was strong all level 8-10: my warrior, dwarf Yeslick, half orc Dorg, priest Jahera, melee Khaleed, mage Neera all with full items and potions. My mage had all the skills etc. Still, I tried like 200 times, each time they just attack you and finish all your party in 7 seconds. I thought there was something wrong so I adjusted the difficulty to easiest. Nothing changed, they killed me like 200 more times. I tried to set up skull traps with my mage so many times but bats kept detonating them. With AI's recommendation I somehow glitched the AI. I approached in an angle and started the dialogue under invisibility spell and immediately ran back to my party, doing so only one of his companions would follow me. I had to try even this too many times, luring them one by one. In the end only the boss was left and I hardly with all my potions killed him (also one more mage was there but didn't get alarmed in a certain angle). He just dropped with a cutscene and the game ended just like that. The game just takes you to expansion pack after you beat the boss, I was terrified that it wasn't the end so I asked AI and I was so relieved to learn it was an expansion which followed.
На удивление до сих пор интересная игра - 98 год выпуска!
