Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Aug 14 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Your world has always been limited to the fortress library’s ancient halls, where your foster father, Gorion, worked tirelessly to shield you from dangers you never understood.
All of that is about to change, setting you on the path that made Baldur’s Gate a legend.

The Tower of Dulag is exquisitely crafted, but it's quite annoying to play. Especially on the fourth level, there's a trap pool that thieves can't detect and can't eliminate. They have to step on it forcefully. After stepping on it, the trapped trap won't disappear. Pure malice!
I didn't think I would be so hooked on game that's almost 30 years old, but this was really an excellent play.
Legendary for a reason! Am utterly obsessed with this game, this story and these characters!
As someone who was relatively new to CRPG's, started playing them for the first time in 2018 (divinity original sin 2) and then moved on to play and finish by chronological order: pathfinder kingmaker, pathfinder wrath of the righteous, pillars of eternity 1&2, baldur's gate 3, warhammer 40k rogue trader, bloodlines the masquerade, dragon age origins, and now baldur's gate 1 here's how it went: So i Just finished the game for the first time ever, i tried to play it like 2-3 years ago but after seeing the graphics, at the start of the game i alt f4 and deleted the game but for some reason i gave it a try recently, ignoring the outdated graphics, played on core difficulty, i had a blast, a truly fantastic game, i can't believe they made such an expansive and story rich game in 1998 the writing, the gameplay, and the companions are amazing, Bioware were ahead of everyone by 100 steps back then. Is this game better than aforementioned games listed above? in some ways yes, in others no, considering this game came out at 1998, i can see why people call it a classic masterpiece and others who came after it were heavily influenced and inspired by this game. So if you are like me and u enjoy a good story, good companion banter / relatively high lvl of freedom of choice and not just illusion of choice, then this game is definitely worth a buy.
The stupidest thing about the image of the bugbear in the cell you see when looking at the game is that there is no bugbear in their 'enhanced' content, modern stories, or dumb arena side game.
Baldurs Gate 2026
coolest and loudest intro ever
Absolute rubbish. Upgrade will not let you play unless you complete the tutorials but the tutorials do not function. Thirty minutes being told disarm a red highlighted trap that does not exist
