Bakery Simulator

I purchased Bakery Simulator during an INCREDIBLE steam sale where it was 91% off and I only paid a subtotal of $1.35. For $1.35 I am VERY happy with this game but at the original price I think my review would skew a lot more towards the negative. Bakery Simulator is a simulator game where you own and operate your own bakery in a city populated with businesses eager to purchase your baked goods. When I first entered the game I had a really weird adjustment period to kind of understand what the expectations were and get into the rhythm of a game "day". To start the day you refill all of your ingredients. You then go over to the job board and pick one business to make baked goods for that day (in order to reach max affinity with all the businesses you must pick and deliver their orders until you unlock all of the businesses benefits). After you pick which baked good you will make you have to view the recipe and follow it. Gather the ingredients in the bowl provided and then mix, cut or pour, and bake. As the game goes on there will be more recipes and different machines to work with. When your baked goods are ready you can either deliver them yourself or hire a person to do it for you. The driving controls are crazy and it will feel like some form of GTA trying to get to the businesses location most of the time but after a while it becomes easier to manage and even a bit funny (if you hit another car their hubcap will fall off and roll away). I really started to enjoy this game when I got past the first few days. A lot of the gameplay is very repetitive (I imagine working at a bakery would fall into some repetitive patterns so this might be a pro or a con) and once you can successfully navigate the menus it becomes way more fun and less daunting. It took me a long time to get all of the businesses at 100% but I found it to be kind of a relaxing way to unwind after real work. I just did a few days per day and it all worked out. I would recommend this game to someone who has been looking at it for a while or enjoys trying out different kinds of sims. HOWEVER you will have to wait until it goes on SALE because although I did not run into any severe bugs or glitches in my game there were a few times where mild bugs/glitches did cause some disruption. Give it a try! Build the bakery of your dreams and don't forget to customize the door and trash can!
