B-17 Flying Fortress : The Mighty 8th Redux

Pilot to Navigator, picking up a heading of three, three, seven....... Roger! If you remember that infamous line, you for sure played the OG Microprose B-17 The Mighty Eight. This is the same game but a redux which includes better visuals and sound, bugs and glitches on the other hand...... is about the same. Once in awhile you'll get an occasional crash for absolutely no reason. Sometimes the crew will randomly move without you telling them to. Besides the flaws, this game is really incredible. Considering the original game is over 20 years old, it still holds up very well against other modern flight sims. I grew up with this game and loved it to death but I can see why they put this game as "Early Development" it needs alot of work. If you read this micropose, I hope you can fix the crashes, they get really old. If anyone is wondering about this game on deck..... it's actually not bad. Although it does take awhile to configure the controls, the game runs a solid 60fps with very few drops. I also put a custom controller layout in the community tab that you can download and edit. Although I can't say this game is perfect, I can recommend adding this game to your library. If micropose puts some more effort into this game, It could be a real gem. (PS: DONT SHOOT DOWN YOUR OWN BOMBERS!!! You'll feel really bad when you see all your guys dead lmao.)

Really like what you have done to upgrade game. It seems my P-47 pilots like their whiskey too much, they never make it off the ground. The new update 1.0.21, I cannot run game in detail. It locks up and still pauses when running in balanced. I have 8gb ram and 4gb video card. Is it time for me to upgrade my computer?

worth the money, a good milsim.

I was expecting an experience closer to a flight simulator, but the gameplay turned out to be overly complex, with a steep learning curve that made it hard for me to stay engaged.

I use JoytoKey for my controller and the game is a lot of fun for its age. The textures are a nice upgrade from the original.
