In a long time I've been looking for a tower defense that gets me hooked, its just criminal that this game in not more well known.
I've been having a great time with Axom so far. It does a really good job of mixing base building, tower defence, and roguelike progression into something that feels fresh and addictive. Every run gives you new choices and upgrades to experiment with, so it never feels like you're just repeating the same strategy over and over. Watching your defences come together while huge waves of enemies crash into them is incredibly satisfying. There's a ton of content and replayability. There are loads of buildings, upgrades, and research options to unlock, which makes each session feel rewarding even when things don't go according to plan. The gameplay loop is easy to get into but has enough depth to keep you thinking and adapting. If you're a fan of strategy games and enjoy building massive defensive setups, Axom is pretty cool

not too far in but definitely more interesting than I expected. Recommend.
Not bad, played 2 missions and had some fun. Perk tree is too small though.
This is a hidden gem. For an indie dev, everything is well made and there is thought put into towers and enemies and upgrades. You can see the dev wanted to make a good game, and they were successful. The graphics style is nice, and the game handles nicely large amount of enemies and projectiles (those who complain about performance and crashes are on amd cards which is unfortunate but if you got something else you won't see any crashes or problems). There's a lot to play here, even after 20 hours I haven't unlocked everything so you get your moneys worth for sure. You discover different upgrades and power ups every round so every round is different which keeps you going for another run. If I had to list some cons, its that there are clearly some things are stronger than others, but overall there are no useless towers. And there is lack of meaningful end goal; it's a roguelite TD so it's pretty much play the game as long as you think its fun. I would have liked there to be some sort of goal to go for that would give the feeling of "I beat the game" and then you could keep going for fun. You could say unlocking everything and beating hardest difficulty is end goal, but for me that isnt satisfying enough for end goal. For this price its a strong recommend. If it's on sale then its a steal.
I love this game... the only issue I am having is once i get to much higher levels, but my game freezes.
Cool game
We don't do many tower defense games but still were able to understand and enjoy this. Weapons are cool, explosions are big, surviving rounds felt awesome, and huge gross bugs were fun to destroy. Here's our gameplay and review video - https://youtu.be/OhKExZiwx68
Havent played Tower Defense since GreenTD in WC3. But damn its fun. A lot of content for EA.
