Unable to make a truly well-informed review at this point in time. I will review what I was able to get through: The UI is well thought out and reminiscent of industrial equipment. Thematicism and looks: 10/10 The "basics" button leads to a user manual. Very much like real life. 10/10 The tutorial quickly gets you into the fundamentals of ladder logic, but just a few machines in, the game breaks for me. I'm tasked with adding a timer, and when I go to adjust the settings for the timer, my keyboard input isn't visibly registered. It is (apparently) registered, because when I jump out of the timer settings menu, the value has changed on the faceplate. While having to fight the PLC programming software environment to work properly may be realistic, that isn't what I want in a game. I went looking for a bug-reporting option in-game, and didn't find one. When I went looking for the official website, I was met with https security errors in my browser, so I don't particularly feel like opening that site in my browser. So, here I am. I can neither recommend for nor against this game, as I can't really experience it, but for that reason and the fact that I am forced to recommend one way or the other, I must give it a thumbs down. If this issue is fixed, I will be glad to revise.

Very affordable solution to test your skills in PLC Programming, would defiantly recommend to try this game out. Only downside is that it seems that additional content is lacking a bit, and there is a few bugs here and there which may crash the game. But having worked in the automation industry for 15+ years you learn to fix mechanical issues with software :)
I want this game to work. If you code poorly, the game will crash. The graphics are poorly done for a video game. The graphics are nicely done for a PLC game. This needs a lot of work but like a lot of PLC software, they are almost never updated.
Some of the levels are unclear in their objectives but this is a great way to gamify someone's interest in LL and industrial automation! Would recommend also adding subtitles to the "Basics" intro video.
Cool game for anyone interested in an intro to PLC logic and controls. In the scenarios provided in the game, you can do what you have to do to get it done, but that's about it. The logic components in the game are very bare-bones and could use some updating, such as the timers. It would also be nice for the developers to add other things such as Rising and falling edge, Count up/Count Down, etc. Though you can basically "make" these components in game using what they give you (memory bits and math/compare), it's just not practical in the real world. Its like using NAND gates in electronics to make other logic gates or certain components. Sure, it can be done, but why make 45 NAND gates when you could of hypothetically used 4 XOR gates? It honestly is easier to code what you want the machinery to do in TIA portal or Micrologix than it is in this game, but this is a start for new people. I'd like to also see more scenarios added, a way to restart the program without having to Save game then Load game, the ability to create your own inputs, and multiple pages for your program. Having 100 lines of LL on one page is extremely confusing, especially when you have multiple similarly named Inputs/outputs because you can't make your own generic inputs. To create extra inputs of the sensors given in your scenarios, you have to tie them to user-made contact. Otherwise, you can only call upon it once in the program. Similar story with the outputs. It all ends up being very confusing when it really doesn't need to be. All in all, I like this game. It has good potential to be a great teaching tool but it really does need some cleaning up. Ease of life improvements needed ASAP. Hopefully the devs stay the course and keep improving the game
The most underserved genre of video game may very well be that where you learn and apply actual real world engineering techniques. This game starts to fill that gap. I mean, seriously, every Sci-Fi movie makes it look like scientists and engineers do anything needed to solve any problem and even get it all right the first time. Well, the Fi in Sci-Fi is FICTION. The world never works like that. Engineering and science are hard and take time, but they are rewarding. This games gives you an opportunity to earn those rewards of a job well done while just being a fun diversion. The game has a bunch of scenarios where you make a PLC program to automate a solution to the problem at hand. And it's fun. Now I have to say that the PLC is a very weak PLC with few functions, so you need to pretend you live in the 8-bit days. But the challenges are interesting. The game does seem to have some array out of bounds errors and crashes from time to time, so save your game often. But enjoy. There is also a bit of a discontinuity between the first few scenarios and the later ones with regards to difficulty of applying the ladder logic. The applause you get for solving the first problem is a little over the top--but would be well deserved on some of the later scenarios. My GF (an aspiring engineer) got blocked by it and I (an actual engineer) am in the weeds on my current scenario. To let you know, I am now in the tank scenario making a PID controller. That's a lot of math blocks. I did accidentally trigger the completion conditions, but I'm not going to leave until I have integration, differentiation, and PID making the level of the tank what I want with PID control. There is certainly some tediousness in that, but that's because engineering is hard. In short I highly recommend this game. I encourage everyone to stick with it when it goes from super easy to super hard. Because the problems are all solvable using multiple techniques, and everyone who installs this game has the capability to solve the problems, and the ability to solve these problems represents to solve real problems in real life.
Great idea...VERY poorly executed....prepare for frustration and don't expect it to get better, constantly locks up, and not very much in the way of explaining what to do, there are , I believe, supposed to be arrows directing you to how to do some things in the way of hints...I had them turned on but never saw ANY, to add to the frustration if you do something unexpected, it just freezes.
(AI translation) A rare game that allows you to learn PLCs in a game (as if it were a game). I rarely have a chance to write ladders, but I would like to take this opportunity to learn. It is a game, so there are parts that are just like a game. But that's it, this is it. It would be great if it could be translated into Japanese. (I'd like to make a Japanese mod, but is there a socket for mods?) I hope there will be DLC or other additions. This was very helpful when I started going to school for automation, thank you for this game!
