Exiled to a deep space mining sector, you are left with a crappy ship, a laser, and a small mining beam. It is up to you to survive by working your way through the galaxy. Mine asteroids, refine and trade the ore, buy upgrades for your ship, hunt pirates... you get it.

Finally got around to playing this one, and it's kinda underwhelming. It's a weird mix of a bunch of conflicting mechanics. None of them are bad individually, but the mixture doesn't help any of them. It's a arcadey space combat game with manual control of your ship, but your weapons are auto-target only and you can actually just auto-play the combat from a zoomed out perspective. It's a game where money is used as a leveling mechanic in that you can buy bigger ships and better gear for those ships, but you also have an XP system which feeds a level which earns a skill point which is only used to buy (with money and skill points) passive upgrades to your pilot. Neither of these are bad systems, but having two currencies seems unnecessarily limiting in this case. I played the game for nearly 20 hours, but a majority of that time is just clearing out all the asteroids and selling them in a system after destroying all the random pirate enemies that were slightly harder than the last one. I eventually died, because I pushed the combat a bit too far and blew up, and just kinda haven't had the urge to see if there's anything at the end if I managed to go through those last few systems. Not sure I'd buy this game anymore, but it was probably pretty decent at the time of it's release.

Decent game solid graphics & engine for its day. Good if you are learning similar game-types.
5/10
Lots of fun! Fast or slow paced space ships. Play your way.
Is this a very in-depth game? No. It took roughly 6 hours to beat it. Is this a very long game? No. See the previous statement. Is this a very solid game? Yes. The 6 hours I spent on this game felt great while I was playing it. This is a very fast game; a short sandbox where you can feel immediate progress quite quickly. A mining/trading/auto-dogfight-simulator-rpg that can be beaten under 4 hours. In this genre... that is something quite unique. Other games in this space-simulation-rpg genre can have you playing for over 48 hours and you still haven't grinded enough to see the full scope of the game. In that sense, this game is quite difference. Do I appreciate this game for what it is? Absolutely. The developer can be proud that he built a pretty solid gameplay loop into this one. If you like space-sim-rpgs; I do recommend that you check this one out. Let those barbarous pirates eat slag! Signing off, Ensign Space_Goat
SIMPLE
A great pastime. Balanced, pleasant and tactical. Accompanied to a Space Ambient Music it will be relaxing. Rating 7.8 Un grand passe-temps. Équilibré, agréable et tactique. Accompagné d'une Space Ambient Music ce sera relaxant. Note 7.8
This is a very fun and simple space simulator/mining game. Be aware though that after you peel away the cover of the game and begin digging deep into it, it will appear to be more of a proof of concept than a full fleshed out game. There isn't any real economy, but that isn't the point per say. The flow and progression of the game and the stations where you refine, sell, buy and upgrade your ships is fair and nice. The enemies did not seem too tough, and the customization options for creating your own galaxy makes the game feel like the EVE game you want to play. I will say that this game is worth buying for the main reason of supporting the developer and their current and larger project, Astrox Imperium, which is way more open ended than this game is, and is more fleshed out and is, at the time of this review, still being updated and expanded upon.
I would call an early Eve Offline. (if you want better graphics, gameplay and more updates get the Astrox Imperium) Its simple Its fun Doesnt take you years to unlock everything although there are a few "ways" to cheese certain things its still a solid recommend.
