Mysterium: A Psychic Clue Game

You need an extensive startup command to even get the game to run (powershell -WindowStyle Hidden -Command "Start-Process cmd -ArgumentList '/c set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%' -WindowStyle Hidden") and when you hit play if you wait more than a few second the join and create game buttons are no longer clickable. You need to back out and click play again to get them to work. Lastly, you will just get disconnected from a game occasionally with no way to join back again. If they would just patch these few issues, this game would be an easy recommend because it is a fun game when it is working. However, seems like support for this game is completely dead so buy at your own risk.

If you haven't played Mysterium before, basically its a game where a ghost is trying to show a bunch of psychics how they died. It's extremely similar to the board game Clue in the sense that you have to find out who killed you, where they did it, and what they used. The twist is that the ghost can't speak to the psychics; they have to use a bunch of confusing picture cards to try and convey their message. For example, the ghost might show you a picture card with a bunch of apples on it trying to tell you that the chef killed them. You can either play as the ghost and send out a bunch of cards to the psychics, or play as a psychic and do your best to match up the pictures you're given to figure out the person, place and item relating to the murder. I loved playing this board game in person and was super excited to hear there was a digital version of it on Steam. Sadly, not a lot of people know about this game, so online servers are hard to come by with how little the player base is. But you are allowed to can create your own private room and invite friends to play (rather than playing with the only 3 other strangers online who know about the game), or you can use one PC and pass it around during each player's turn. I bought this game and the DLC on sale for no more than $3. Considering the board game version costs around ten times that amount and it requires you to play in person with friends, I would argue this game is worth trying out. You'll save money, you can play it from anywhere, and if you have never played the board game before you can try out the tutorial/story mode to practice.

Servers been down for weeks

Servers have been down for weeks with no communication from devs. Do not buy this game, play it on Tabletop Sim instead.

Love the game but servers are fully offline. I wish I could play it again.

I found Mysterium as I searchd for a famous classic crime solving table top-digitalized game, alternative to try. This game is REALLY challenging and I like that. What I don't like is that you can't select your psychic character in solo play! The developers need to correct that! (PLEASE!!!)

Nunca hay nadie para jugar así que lo del multijugador no tiene sentido. Es un juego bonito pero que no hay por dónde cogerlo. Igual jugado con gente en casa gana mucho más, pero en ordenador pierde la mayoría, por no decir toda su gracia
