Well, it's fun so far, but it really bugs me that I can't explore any further. Beyonda that, well, it's ok I guess, up till the end of the prologue. So barring gamebreaking stuff I'd say yes.
Reminds me of planet crafter, just has more to do. I got bored after about 30 mins. It takes forever to get what you need to build stuff. I feel like even after you build what you need, the game is just a rinse and repeat of go out-get stuff-come back-go out-get stuff-come back.

très bon jeu
Astrometica: Prologue is a space survival game that gave me a pretty good idea of what the full Astrometica experience is trying to be. I start out stranded in space with very little and have to build up a small base, collect resources and work out how to survive in an area full of abandoned structures and asteroids. I like the basic setup because it gives me a clear reason to keep exploring. I am not just building things for the sake of it. Everything I make is helping me stay alive or reach somewhere I could not get to before. The prologue is also completely free, which makes it a nice way for me to try the systems without having to commit to the full game. The resource gathering is probably the part I enjoyed most. There are dozens of materials to collect, and I can use drills on asteroids as well as build automatic mining machines to keep resources coming in. I like that the game slowly changes from me running around collecting everything by hand into a more organised little operation. I can use what I gather for tools, machines, oxygen tanks, shields and other equipment, so there is always a reason to go looking for more resources. It gives the exploration a nice sense of purpose because I am usually collecting something for a specific upgrade rather than just filling my inventory for no reason. Building the base is another part that works well for me. I can put together a habitat, add machines and storage and slowly make the area feel more useful. The prologue includes basic habitat building, decorations and a selection of machines, so I have enough freedom to make a small working base instead of just having one fixed shelter. I also get two vehicles, including a space bike and a larger ship that can help with longer trips. I really like having vehicles because moving around open space on foot can get tedious, and the larger ship gives me something that feels more like an actual mobile survival base. The exploration itself is where I think Astrometica has the most potential. I can follow signals that lead me towards new resources, abandoned locations and other points of interest, and there is a nice feeling when I find somewhere I have not been before. The zero gravity sections also make movement feel different from a normal survival game, and having a jetpack gives me more freedom to move around asteroid areas. I like the atmosphere too. Empty space, damaged stations and scattered equipment make it feel like something went very wrong before I arrived, and I want to keep looking around to understand more about what happened. The biggest issue for me is that this is still only a prologue. The developers say it provides over five hours of content, but there are obvious limits compared with the full game. There is only one starting asteroid belt, around half of the planned machines are available and several major systems are missing, including additional asteroid belts, advanced vehicles, trading, package delivery, mobile bases, story events, scanning and enemy ships. I understand why those things are not here because this is supposed to be a preview, but it means I eventually reach a point where I have built a decent setup and simply run out of places to go. I also think some of the systems could use more depth. The crafting and resource management are enjoyable, but after I understand what I need for the important upgrades, the routine starts becoming predictable. There is a good foundation here, but the prologue does not give me enough enemies or other dangers to make survival feel consistently threatening. A lot of the time I am more worried about collecting the right materials than actually surviving something dangerous. That is fine for the early hours, but it does make me aware that I am playing a small preview rather than a finished survival game. The visual presentation is decent and the space setting looks good, although some of the environments and interfaces still feel like they could use more polish. Overall, Astrometica: Prologue is a solid introduction to a space survival game that I think has a lot of room to grow. I really like the resource gathering, base building, vehicles and exploration, and I enjoy seeing a small abandoned area slowly turn into something I can actually use. The main limitation is simply that it is a prologue, so a lot of the systems and locations that could make the experience much more interesting are not available yet. For a completely free preview, though, I think there is enough here to make the time worthwhile, and the foundation is strong enough that I would want to see where the full game takes the idea.
