We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Worst Assassin's Creed game i have ever played. The combat is a huge downgrade from the Ezio games.
From a 100% achievements perspective, AC3 can definitely get infuriating. There are achievements in this game that require you to repeatedly reload an area until an NPC is doing a specific task so you can "scan them" (stare at them), and not only that, there are like 20 different tasks you have to scan, which means hundreds of reloads of nothing but staring at an NPC work. Others, require you to beat an AI in some board games, problem is, in one board game (Fanorama), the AI plays perfectly, making it ridiculously hard to beat, I had to use an external calculator for the game to find the best moves to beat it. The game is also capped at 60FPS, you can uncap it with mods, but this results in some minor visual glitches, such as carriages being invisible, this barely affects the base main game, but annoying nevertheless. Liberation is boring, and it feels extremely clunky (especially after AC3), but at least the 100% is easy. TOKW is short, with some optional objectives in some missions being enraging to get, you also HAVE to limit the FPS back down to 60 for it, since carriages need to function for convoys in the dlc. Even with all of these issues with the 100% achievements, AC3 is great! Remaining as one of the best AC games in the franchise

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.14/day in the week to Aug 11 → 8.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gameplay: 8 (solid parkour / better training modules can benefit as there is a good possibility that the newer features can be left out / more character development all-round / controls does take getting used to) ailed in accordance with history). Sounds: 9 (just the background music can be reparative however having the Indians speaking in their native tongue shows the developers dedication to the cause) Value: 9 (plenty of things to do without feeling too bloated or overstay its usefulness) Tilt: 9 (Simply an amazing game to play and so much so, I even picked up a few things along the way. Emotional ending). Overall: 8.5 The seemingly never-ending hidden war between the assassins and the templars continues. Altair with the crusades and Ezio with all things renaissance, Revelations (the final part of the Ezio trilogy) wrapped things up in one sweet package bonding fare-thee-well. Well, technically not as the short film “Embers” gave Ezio the final curtain call. And let’s not forget the ending for the “present day” assassins – no one saw that coming. So, you can safely say the next game will be a new beginning. And here we are, a year later Assassin’s Creed III was born (technically the development cycle was a couple of years as Assassin’s Creed had many studios working on this franchise). The game’s setting is suiting enough – based on the American Revolution aka around the time of the Birth of America (1754 – 1783). New world, new protagonist, new pretty much everything. The two previous protagonists Altair and Ezio arguably had their own trilogy (to those wondering how Altair had his trilogy, I included the main game plus the prequel Altair’s Chronicles and sequel Bloodlines), Assassin’s Creed III can be viewed as a trilogy of sorts too as you will be playing three characters, Haytham Kenway (3 chapters), young Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor / about 2 chapters) and adult Connor (6 or so). As mentioned before, the game does take place around the Birth of America and then some. So, historical events like the Boston Massacre / Tea Party, Great Fire of New York, Paul Revere’s Ride (the midnight ride), Battle of Bunker Hill and the Declaration of Independence (among many others) are being “reenacted” with the “hidden ‘assassin’s creed’ twist” – e.g. Paul Revere had Connor riding the horse during the “midnight ride” and so on. Thus, all major historical events played out well and the sidenotes are very descriptive. So, you can say there’s an amazing level of attention to detail here. This also extends to the buildings and the civilian’s clothes. Obviously, there’s the main campaign to complete, however if you are aiming to do just that, you are giving this game total disservice. It’s like booking into a five-star hotel just to use the bed to sleep in. So, you can separate the game into five parts, the main storyline, growing your homestead, exploring the frontier, leveling up your assassins (liberation missions etc.), two major cities to explore (Boston and New York) and naval combat. And the good news is that they are all tied to the American Revolution theme so none of them feels out of place. Out of the five, the newest feature “Naval Combat” is simply incredible! You have the option to build up your ship “The Aquila” albeit very expensive to do so. Yet, fret not, as doing the copious side missions, especially locating treasure chests, you will have the cash in no time. That said, the controls get a little while to master however once done, sailing will be extremely addictive. It’s one of those moments where you need to experience it than just putting it into words. Kudos to Ubisoft for this remarkable new feature. Yet, there are some issues with regards to the myriads of activities presented here – the lack of instructions. For example, crafting and sending out convoys was a bit confusing. I had no real idea how to send one off and if I managed to do so, the entire convoy only carried one bear claw. Thankfully, there are plenty of good videos and wikis out there so I highly recommend viewing them as once you get the grasp of it, it will become addictive as well. Character development was well executed yet very deep. Haytham’s plot was right on point, while Connor’s arc took time to mature - intentionally so. Several supporting characters felt underutilised: Charles Lee often reads as a one note villain, Achilles deserved more presence, and figures like Washington and Franklin drift in and out of the narrative. Yet Connor’s demeanour in the final quarter of the game solidifies his complexity. In many ways, Connor is not simply a character but the narrative lens through which the game expresses the tragedy of the American Revolution from an Indigenous perspective. His personal journey mirrors the broader historical truth: hope, betrayal, and the collapse of ideals. Connor becomes the embodiment of the era’s tragedy, rather than just a participant in it. Visually the game is outstanding to say the least. You can see a lot of care and research has been done ranging from the clothes they wore to the buildings and even the weather effects / day and night cycles. Animals in the frontier act like animals (e.g. wolves surround you and elks skitter away etc.). The forests are dense and the cities crowded. Even New York looks like a sorry state and rightfully so at that time. Pubs have people drinking and even simple chores like washing are all there. To get an appreciation of this living world, complete the “Encyclopedia of the Common Man” side mission. The sound quality equally so – from the yelling of orders when sailing (including wind gushing and the screeching sounds of seagulls) to the thunder crackle and everything else in-between adds immersion to this game. So, it’s worth spending some money if you have on a decent pair of speakers / headphones. To extend this, the voice acting is on par – they even went further having native Indians speaking their tongue. To understand the importance of this, their language is dying so it’s great to see its preservation. As mentioned before, completing the main storyline is like booking into a five-star hotel just to use the bed – it’s simply a disservice. Considering what the game can offer can take easily beyond 50 hours to complete – maybe even surpass the 100 hours mark. And thankfully, no single activity overstays its usefulness. Well, there is a caveat here though – gaining that elusive 100% sync as some just boils down to plain ole luck. Speaking about achievements, it’s certainly worth doing them as most are tied to the efforts the developers incorporated into this game instead of those “kill 1000 rats”. It will be extremely difficult for the developers at Ubisoft to make another Assassin’s Creed game, especially from scratch. The consensus adores Ezio and finishing him off to start on a new campaign (so to speak) can be a real challenge. Assassin’s Creed III I believe has met and exceeded some (like naval combat) to remain relevant to this series. Even the present-day events are interesting to play. I truly love ending and again Kudos to the developers wrapping this up nicely – for me it’s an emotional ride to say the least. Yet, there are some elements that can be improved upon like better training modules for the newly introduced features like crafting etc. However, my suggestion here is to take your time and absorb the journey to truly appreciate this complex adventure.
this game is ass what where they thinking
