It's been a long time since I played this game, but one I still think about often. Well worth picking up if you're a fan of stealth.
Very fun Ninja game, with Great visuals/Art style, made all the more worth with co-op.

I am a fan of games that utilise stealth, and Aragami does it well. The art style reminds me of Okami and other games from the early to mid 2000s, very sleak and not going for hyper realism, nicely done. The controls work fantastically well on a controller (I didn't attempt KBM), and the fluidity of being able to pop between shadows is silky smooth. The Aragami's powers were broad, allowing you to choose an offensive or defensive style, and switching between the two was a breeze. The puzzles weren't overly challenging, and the enemy AI was okay (at normal difficulty). I did note in the last region, that the behaviour / enemy abilities seemed to scale a bit too much, but considering it was the ending, I let it pass. Putting it into hard mode would be a challenge for sure. The story / meaning of the game works fairly okay, if a little weak. The ending / plot twist became obvious fairly early on, but still, it was enjoyable. All in all, worth playing for the sweet powers and smooth controls and nice art style.
Replayed it a few times, still a fun and beautiful game to revisit. The story is soooo good too.

Fun for your average stealth enjoyer. The atmosphere and art style is on point.
It's great, will definitely scratch that "sneaky ninja creeping around slitting throats" itch. Has it's flaws but remains a good deal even at it's full $20 price tag. If you loved Tenchu Stealth Assassins back in the day, you will feel right at home here. There's even a level editor and a mountain of user made stages so there's plenty to do if the significantly sized campaign leaves you wanting more. Boss Fights with interesting mechanics to mix it up a bit. Though there are only 2 enemy types to deal with - sword or bow dude - it's no big deal here. You are made of tissue paper so if anyone looks at you funny for more than a second or two, you will insta die. Death is generally a mild punishment, back to the last checkpoint you go and all the baddies you killed before hitting said checkpoint stay dead. In multi player, the dead player is stuck in the survivor's camera and can look around; will respawn when the next checkpoint is reached. There is some nice co-op to be had coordinating multi strikes over coms and watching each others backs. There is a mild collectathon going on with hidden upgrade point scrolls scattered across the stages, spend them to unlock new abilities. Definite sense of strong progression as your new skills turn you into razer sharp tissue paper of death. Several new skins to unlock if you are inclined to put in the effort to git gud and start clearly campaign maps with challenges like Never Be Seen or Zero Kills. And yea, aside from the boss fights you COULD clear the game with zero kills but who are we kidding, you are here to slit throats. Even the story was pretty good, at least a 3 our of 5, maybe 4. BEWARE: I played this coop with a friend and towards the end of the game we started suffering constant game ending Server Disconnect issues. Much googling later we went with a solution that said using a VPN cures the problem somehow. We both installed Proton VPN and the problem went away. /shrug Despite that frustration I have no regrets, much fun was had.
