Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 6 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

SciADV's most significant entry to date
To be honest, I actually went into Anonymous;Code with low expectations. I've heard that it's one of the shortest entries and that the characters are bland. It even had recent mixed reviews on steam for a bit when I was checking the steam page. I thought to myself, how is this going to work? One of the biggest reasons I love SciADV is the slow burn, if this entry is 15-20 hours long compared to something like Chaos;Child which was 60-70 hours, then am I going to enjoy it or not? Well I was completely wrong, Anonymous;Code absolutely surpassed my original expectations. Unlike all the other SciADV titles, Anonymous;Code doesn't actually require a guide. No more convoluted method to achieve the true ending of the game so it was refreshing to finally not have a guide on my second monitor or my phone this time around. The main mechanic: the hacking trigger is the ability to bring up a Save and Load menu. The protagonist will create his own saves throughout the story, and if you bring the Save and Load menu at specific points, he will Load a save and go back in time. This can either help the protagonist find a solution or even cause a bad ending. Whenever I'd reach a bad ending, I'd be left to solve and find the solution with the small hints that it gives you, and it was rewarding once I'd figured it out. There was only one moment which annoyed me where the timing to use the hacking was very strict but that's about it. When it comes to the overall presentation of Anonymous;Code, it is phenomenal. Animated sprites, the UI, the OST, English and Japanese voice acting, the CGs, the opening, all of it is high-quality and gorgeous. I played it with the Japanese voice acting but I do plan to reread with the English voice acting one day. The CG's weren't motionless like usual, most of them had characters mouths talking, and in CGs that take place in a vehicle you can even see the outside scenery moving. There are these manga style moments where the it would purely be moving between panels which always had me hyped whenever they would happen. The ui helps immerse us into the world with seeing sprites show up as a call on the right, apps such as the map take over the screen. The sprites use the "e-mote" animation which definitely makes characters lively compared to the traditional sprites where only the mouth and eyes would be animated. My only issue with it is that a certain female body moves and it's very exaggerated. Like how is that possible and why is this even here. Anonymous;Code is definitely more plot-driven than character-driven. Originally, I thought this was going to weaken the narrative but I was wrong. If you've read Steins;Gate (which you should because why wouldn't you not read all the VNs prior to A;C), the way I would describe the most of the cast (not all) are that they are like Daru's. Characters that have memorable personalities and play important roles but don't actually have much development and growth. I didn't actually mind that they were like this and it didn't hinder my enjoyment. An example would be Cross, the protagonists/Pollon's best friend. He's basically a really chill guy and is a good friend to him, at some points he acts as a voice of reason which prevents Pollon from doing rash things. The story of Anonymous;Code is fast paced, and has the best pacing out of the SciADV entries. Whenever there's action, it feels exciting and that the stakes are high but there times where it slows down to explain and give spotlight to characters. None of it feels too fast or too slow. A;C manages to do everything that it needs to do without being long. The plot is great, being a pay off to a long build up of previous SciADV entries. It manages to explain and completely flip your understanding of the story so far, I'm still thinking about it right now. Anonymous;Code is an amazing visual novel, it's not my favourite in SciADV, I'd give it 4th or 5th in my SciADV ranking but that doesn't mean it's bad. The experience of Anonymous;Code heavily relies on you reading all the prior vns, without that I definitely wouldn't be enjoying it like I am right now. I felt pretty emotional watching the credits roll since this is the last SciADV entry. There's definitely none coming out anytime soon other than Steins;Gate Re:Boot, from what it seems it doesn't look like they're adding anything significant to it unfortunately. I give Anonymous;Code an 8/10, it is worth your time and lives up to the expectations set up from older entries.
The game was ok for the first few chapters, but as of chapter 9, the writing/story really goes down the drain...
Ever since the release of Robotic;Notes, the narrative quality of the SciAdv series has been consistently declining. While A;C starts off strong, the narrative quickly jumps the shark and devolves into yet another mindless world ending calamity that feels incredibly forced and contrived. Rather than compose a compelling narrative, the author is more interested in one uping whatever world ending calamity was sloppily smashed together in the previous entries. Filled with uninteresting characters mostly comprised of moe archetypes, the latest entry in the SciAdv series fails to live up to the strengths of it's predecessors. While I adore previous entries such as Steins;Gate and Chaos;Child, the future of this series is incredibly bleak. Skip this entry, and maybe all the future ones as well. I'm glad Steins;???? has been in stasis for the past five years. At this point, I don't think I want it.
Pollon Mr. Robot hacker Diddy blud aura. ☠️👌
Severely overpriced
I really enjoyed the VN, don't think it deserves only a 77% positives on steam. note: on steam deck you will need to download a patch in order to play, it's unplayable without it. would recommend waiting for disccounts instead of buying full price. Enjoy hacking into god
I don't understand why this entry is getting so much hate While some things felt rushed towards the ending, I still enjoyed every second The mechanics are a vast improvement compared to every previous entry I won't say more, but it was every bit as Sci;Adv as I wanted it to be. If you are a fan of this series, just read it.
