Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

About
As governor, how you build and govern will shape your story, your citizens’ destiny, and your provinces’ future. Will you cooperate with other governors or prove your military prowess by challenging your rivals? The cost of peace is yours to decide.
Build your provinces with unmatched detail, flexibility, and scale. Watch kids chase dogs through the streets or thousands cheer in the arena. Build upon the land that you see, from the beautiful heartland of Latium to the mysterious Celtic wetlands of Albion… where no civilized Roman wants to be.
Design the cities of your dreams at the peak of the Roman Empire as you balance your people's needs with the relentless demands of the emperor. Forge alliances across the empire or showcase your might with strategic land battles and naval combat. You may even defy the emperor himself – but not without consequences.
Every decision you make as governor matters. Will you honor local Celtic culture or enforce Roman traditions? Grow your provinces through diplomacy and commerce or conquer through military strength. Your choices will shape not only the future of your citizens and your provinces, but your own story as well.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 5: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best DE #22, worst MX #94 · 7 markets collected
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.67/day in the week to Jul 21 → 6.8/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Conclusion
After quite a few hours of gameplay and completion of the main campaign, I can for sure recommend this game, especially if you've played previous Anno games. I actually went back and played Anno 1800 again for a bit to compare, and the interface and environments are infinitely better. I've actually sat and stared at the view for a while after rearranging my main island to be more aesthetic. The controls are leaps and bounds better, and a lot more intuitive compared to the last installment. (Yes, WASD SHOULD be the default screen movement. I opened 1800 and accidentally started building things when trying to pan the view. Whoopsies.) Of course, I DID get it on sale, so the DLC wasn't breaking the bank when I added it on. I still haven't triggered the whole volcano mechanic in that playthough, but that's a separate review once I get through it. I haven't run into any horrible bugs, and the autosave frequency has meant I haven't lost much gameplay on the occasional crash, so NBD there... I do wish there were a few more portraits available and other items in game, so That does give my numbered score a bit of a hit. I don't want to have to unlock a bunch of things, especially if they're aesthetic, and I have no interest in playing in multiplayer. So. Gimme them unlockables. I wish they would have included a Creative Mode, as I've really enjoyed the graphics. The gameplay is great, but I wish I could jump right in and start drawing out a really nice city for the fun of it/look of it. Overall, this is a 7/10. Beautiful, smooth interface, and engaging. Unlockables, and occasional crashes detract a bit. Missing Creative Mode is a real bummer for those of us that just want a break to paint a town.
Great setting for Anno
It looks pretty, it plays ok and are an OK game...but somethings really off with the game, its kinda bland, the music is forgetable, the characters are really boring and forgetful. Nothing in this game feels good if it makes sense. I played all of the annos and this is not so interesting game for me. I want to like it but I cant. I would recommend anno 1404, 2070 and 1800, not this. I wont recommend, but thats just me. Someone else might like it.
It's a fun addition to the anno series. Armies and fighting is alright but it's not what the game is really about it's about creating a cool scenic Roman civilization. I love watching the people walking around and interacting, feeling like a little microcivilization living on my screen. At this time it's worth playing if you're interested. Like other games of the series they will continue to release new content and DLC's. I hope one is to improve combat in the game because the combat it the one not fun thing in game.
The huge cheque that bounced! For me this is a huge step back from 1800, i understand that took years of patches and content updates to get to where it is but I've played a while now over several games in both Latium and Albion and ultimately I find it boring, the islands feel small and cramped, very copy and paste between seeds. Latium lacks any real "feel" and while Albion feels much more atmospheric its just cramped and boring, the pirates are very easy to beat on the sea, naval combat feels really clunky, if you keep moving your ships practically invincible while other times arrows will shoot miles and home in on you like heat seeking missile. The main issue all Anno games had, especially 1800 is that at some point you just become overwhelmed with what's going on between different theatres and, its somehow dumbed down and yet even worse in 117, for example you get access to military - Barracks, walls, towers etc, you immediately get a huge diplomatic penalty with AI players called "defenceless" but I haven't had chance to build anything yet, I haven't even set up a production chain for roof tiles - needed to build a barracks, meanwhile I have no end of needs of "Waders" I have covered every single square inch of island in wader homes, researched everything I can see to increase wader worker pop but i still don't have enough, i only have 5 ships and 2 archer battalions and i can't support it. Meanwhile the AI is up to its old trick of covering their islands in a network of roads to nowhere, spaffing a few production buildings around, a handful of houses with no services and live rent free off their magic unlimited resources. Buildings feel very restrictive, fire fighters, police, medics, all have very small AOE, markets too, the thing i loved with 1800 was how free the building felt, if i wanted to build a big square in the middle of the city and ornament it i could, it may not be meta but it still worked, here its impossible. Many years of patches and content releases ahead i feel, and many $$$ needed from the player-base to feed the machine.
