Angels Fall First

This game is fantastic, I was a bit worried about the player count but I should not have been. Not only is there always a couple servers that are full or close to full, there is also a wonderful offline mode. With competent AI nonetheless. This game is like if Battlefront 3 actually released but instead of being SW based, it was a more hard scifi setting. Pick it up and give it a shot! I am very glad I did!!

Would I recommend Angels Fall First? The short answer is yes. It might be dated, it might be clunky, but it's a game with [i]heart[/i]. You can't say that about a lot of games made nowadays. AFF offers OG Battlefront II style ground and space battles with fully customizable loadouts and even camos. Did I mention full offline support, too? If you're on the fence, give it an honest try. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

played multiple games and all the games had a hacker using a knife and moving so fast you cant even spawn before they 1 hit ko you. it is sad because the game has potental but with very little security. for a game that claims to have massive battles its the same as cod team deathmatch but with worse graphics, controls, anti-cheat and loadouts. its over complicated and there is zero team work. dont waste your money on this game. go play planetside 2 for free.

A true labor of love! Amazingly broad with the sheer number of weapons, vehicles and ships... yet deep with the amount of customization, mods and build-crafting available to you *immediately* when you start playing. No content unlocks whatsoever, yet there's still progression in the form of having a larger loadout limit. It's actually perfect! It adds to the overall fun *without* limiting the ability of new players to explore the options and find combinations they enjoy. It's got a few quirks, naturally. Nothing bad, though, and nothing that gets in the way of having fun. Just keep in mind that this was made by hobbyist-yet-passionate devs who have *slow-cooked* it over a long time, pushing it forward whenever they were able to... making it shine as brightly as a UE3 game can! What it does... it does *really well*! The ship combat is amazing, and lets you switch between arcadey flight and momentum-based flight at will. Dogfights feel tight. The better you perform, the more big ships the game will throw at you to pilot. We's talkin Corvettes, but also Fully Fledged Frigates with their own stations and crews. Game just says "here, dy'a want this?" and there's no need to wait your turn for when one spawns randomly. Ground combat is also a lot of fun, both in vehicles and on foot. A lot of the fun comes from playing around with all the different weapons and upgrades to find something that feels right. The maps have been well-designed from what I've played so far, and offer a lot of different terrain types and interesting fire fights. The game can do 32v32, but most games have been 16v16. It feels good, though, and the pacing is less intense than most modern shooters. It feels more immersive when you're exploring around a facility or city, or onboard a capital ship as you run around repairing damaged systems. This is your antidote to the "games as a service" drip feed of content we've all gotten so used to. Like I said, just give it a fair shake. Experience the different modes, play with the customization, try the different maps... your taste already brought you here to check it out, right? This is no doubt the game for you.
