About
Daphné is at a dead end. When she inherits her remote family estate in the French countryside, she also inherits a generational feud between her family, the Delatours, and the mighty Malterres. At the same time, Frank, the father of the child they lost, is back to patch things up, but Daphné must also juggle the insistent courtship of a new suitor, her work as a teacher in the local middle school, rumours of witchery attached to her name, and this mysterious condemned tower, in the center of her castle.

Along the Edge is a visual novel: the witch Daphne unravels the mysteries of her family estate in France. The player's choices affect the character's personality, romantic relationships, and one of the 60 endings. The game features 80,000 words and 450 illustrations. It is suitable for those who enjoy atmospheric stories with significant choices.

Ręcznie tworzone grafiki oraz dobrze dobrana ścieżka dźwiękowa zostały idealnie wkomponowane do angażującej historii pełnej większych i mniejszych wyborów. Jedno przejście to jakieś 3 godziny zabawy. Szkoda, że gra ma tak mało lokalizacji - dla niektórych język będzie barierą, mimo, że sama rozgrywka jest skierowana do bardzo szerokiego grona odbiorców.
De char Frank is ontzettend irritant en hoewel je vanaf de prologue al aan kan geven dat je hem niet wilt informeren blijft hij continue terug komen. Aan alles merk je dat dit een verhaal geschreven door mannen is en dan met name mannen die blijkbaar 'nee' niet als antwoord kunnen accepteren. Frank blijft maar terugkomen, hier kan je niets tegen doen. Je bent als hoofdrol vrouw compleet afhankelijk van jouw keuzes t.o.v. de mannelijke NPC's. Als je tegen de mannelijke NPC's in gaat dan ben je 'slecht'. Het is een ervaring, maar zeker geen positieve. Op basis van deze game raad ik niets aan van deze ontwikkelaar. Alhoewel er witch-craft in zit is het verhaal erg conservatief en zeer sturend in een "goed" en "kwaad". Je krijgt hoe dan ook dezelfde cut-scenes, dus het is de moeite niet waard om het spel opnieuw te spelen.
