About

Aloft is a feel-good, cozy survival game set in the clouds, where you can transform any island into a flying ship and explore the vast skies.
Navigate the world, discover new islands, gather resources, build your dream home, and take care of your animals, solo or as a group of up to 8 friends.
Yet within nature’s beauty, a corruption spreads. Root it out and cure the fungi threat that devours all other life. Uncover lost knowledge, brew powerful antidotes, enrich the biodiversity of the islands, and restore balance to the airborne ecosystem.

Aloft’s feel-good survival is more about rewarding positive action than punishing mistakes.
The sky provides everything you need; cook up delicious meals for buffs, gather resources to craft tools, and explore to find new technology. Soar the open sky freely and discover ancient ruins to uncover the secrets of the past.

Soar the open skies in a vast sandbox world and turn any island into your personal skyship.
Build and customize it into your personal home. With a helm, rudder, and sails constructed, you are ready to sail the winds and explore the skies. You are the captain of your adventure!

The wind is an ever-present ally in Aloft.
Install windmills and a network of cables and pulleys to automate your machines and production. Fly into strong winds to supercharge your crafting power and sailing speed, but make sure your sails can handle it.

Each island is its own living ecosystem, vulnerable to unsustainable gathering and the fungi corruption.
Find and cure islands from corruption by defeating the mushroom creatures in combat. Craft antidotes to save animals and restore islands to a state of harmony. By restoring their biodiversity, you gain access to new special resources, and make them more resistant to the corruption.

Collect seeds and animals on your travels and bring them to your home island.
Plant various crops in your garden to cook up delicious recipes, and care for the cuddliest of animals to gain rare resources. Form a true bond by meeting all their needs, and they will even protect you.

Creativity lies at the heart of Aloft, which can be enjoyed as a peaceful solo experience or with up to 7 other players.
Bring your entire island base when you join another player’s world, and create a small village of sky explorers. Use the in-game island creator to design anything you can imagine, then share it with the community to populate their worlds.
Craft the island of your dreams, challenge the corruption, restore balance, and express your creativity in the limitless skies of Aloft.
See you in the clouds!

Loved Raft, spent 112 hours in the game - this game is so bad I don't see how it could have possibly been made by the same company. Only spent 6 hours in it over a year ago - tried again today, rolled a new character, and instead of starting on an island I just keep falling through space over and over so wasn't even able to play again. It is games like this that give "pre-release" such a bad reputation now.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Edit: I had a good experience overall and the developer replying in such a swift and friendly way made it seem more than enough to give it another try after seemingly being locked out of further progress. I'll keep playing after i found some more time to contact the developer and play some more. *** I got softlocked by my world being generated in a way that locked me out of
healing many islands unless i find a spesific island
to progress so that i can backtrack to the
islands i had to passby...
I looked for hours and like 50/500 islands. (10 of which i couldn't do anything on bc of this issue)
Then I came to that one island with a life tree without needing cure. But it required me to finish all the life saplings in that section(?) which included one island locked behind needing a "cure"
I give up and i probably won't try again with how much grinding i had to do bc i couldn't simply progress naturally.
Aloft is a wonderfully relaxing and creative experience. Its floating islands, charming art style, and soothing atmosphere make exploration a joy. The building system is intuitive, and discovering new islands feels rewarding. A perfect game to unwind with while still feeling adventurous.
Fun at first but gets very tedious where you need to do boring tasks over and over to progress.
I bought a couple copies of this game to play with my young daughter. She really likes it, and I don't hate it. However, we seem to have run into a wall with progression. We keep exploring new islands but never discover anything new. We can't craft anything to progress past the "storm wall", which seems to be the avenue for progression. I don't know if we are missing something, or if this is just the early access content that's available. As an example, we need to craft a "cure" to cleanse a tree island, but we can't craft it yet, and the research station requires materials that we have never seen to advance. At this point, the game is good for a few hours of fun, but at that point it becomes repetitive and frustrating that you can't progress. So, I can't give it a positive recommendation at this point. I will continue to monitor future updates and if the game improves I will come back and modify my review.
Right from the start the main menu is well made and peaceful with ambient noise. The character creator is nothing to write home about, you have 6 body options to choose from, 3 male and 3 female. Besides that you can change facial hair, hairstyle, face shape and eye color, with a few options available for each. I would like to see more customization personally, but its not a dealbreaker. Aloft is a beautiful and unique survival/base building game. The premise of the game is to explore floating islands via your glider while you gather resources, learn about the past and discover new ways to improve your base and gear. While on the topic of bases, this game allows you to turn most islands into flying bases through the use of various buildable devices such as a helm and sails to soar through the sky on your very own portable island base. The way the game is structured is both familiar and unique at the same time. It has your standard resource gathering and base building you come to expect from the genre. While also adding in its own twists such as a unique crafting system, unique ways to discover new building recipes via a sketchbook you can use to “sketch” things you see while exploring to unlock new building plans for furniture such as beds, tables, chairs and probably a lot more. The game is very well designed from everything to the art style, music, ambience and flow of gameplay. Very rarely did I feel lost or confused. The game does a good job of guiding you without it feeling too much like a tutorial and being boring. It allows you to explore at your own pace and isn’t too in your face with way points constantly. It instead gives you goals and its up to you to gather resources, fight enemies and explore to accomplish those goals. This game is definitely one of the better cozy games I have played in recent memory, it shakes up the formula a lot in creative and fun ways. It also includes difficulty settings to allow for combat to be easier for players looking for an extra cozy experience. There is even a peaceful mode where enemies won’t attack you. There were a handful of weird quirks I encountered such as when I was placing down a particular type of crafting station it was placed backwards and wouldn’t let me interact with it because it was obstructed and there was no indication of which way was the front that I could see. That being said, none of the small issues I encountered took away from my overall experience and were all easily resolved. The game is also still in Early Access, but despite that is pretty well polished. There appears to be no shortage of content either. I played for 2 hours and barely scratched the surface of the research and building trees. All and all this game is a very good buy if you’re looking for a new and refreshing take on the genre. It also includes multiplayer which I did not personally test as of yet, however if it works just as well as the singleplayer, I could see this game being a fantastic way to spend some time with your friends. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game and will definitely play more beyond the 2 hours I played to write this review. Whether you’ve been thinking about picking up this game, or if you’ve never even heard of it. If you’re a fan of the survival or cozy genres, I highly recommend giving this one a chance.
