About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

So the game is a large improvement over the 1st game. The big standout is the enemy AI is vastly improved compared to the first. Xenomorphs will actually try to dodge gunfire, even fallback to try to attack from another angle, and always try to surround you. Synths will suppress and maneuver to flank your position if the environment will allow and utilize cover more often. They nailed the environment far better then the first game. The first game was too clean and bright. This game is dark and gritty like you would expect from the Alien Franchise. Gameplay is a lot better too. They took all the criticism from the first game and addressed it in this game. Making for a more fine-tune experience. Game isn't perfect, still some minor issue like voice acting, Marines constantly saying the same 3 one liners, and minor glitches. But the game is overall has been a solid experience. If you loved the 1st game, you will love this game.

Improves on the first. Classic themes and hordes that will punish you. These mission finales are as big as a Left 4 Dead finale. Lots of gun, classes, and character customization so you wont feel locked out of any choices.
If you liked the first one you'll like this one. Best played w friends (I'll post a full review when clear all the insanity levels)
If the game ran ok, I'd be more forgiving of the things I'm not a fan of, but constant glitching and stuttering with the game disconnecting after a run that took 30 min+ and was on hard mode with 3 modifiers, multiple times....I just can't recommend in this state or this price. Game is super grindy, which is fine in its own way, but when matchmaking takes forever, matches are a long slog, and when you finally get through one the recourses you get are abysmal...game just feels meh. Again the grind wouldn't be as much of an annoyance if the game wasn't so glitchy and didn't repeatedly drop matches. Enough people have talked about the lame story, annoying characters, and constant cheesy (and not 80s fun cheesy) lines while a firefight ...I'll just say I agree with everything they're saying. Graphics are meh, feels dated. Character mouth movement feels really weird . Cutscene graphics rendered at what felt like 720p, but would shoot my gpu temps up every time. Sound design was actually really good which was cool. I wouldn't even buy this on sale after my current experience. Also I didn't realize that the paid cosmetic packs actually locked usable guns behind them, not just skins...freakin lame move.
A Definite improvement from the first, but I am still working my way through, as of now I would totally recommend this title and I have recommended it several times already, lol. Game on!
I would recommend the game for anyone who enjoys horde shooters like (obviously) the original Fireteam elite or something like Space Marines 2 BUT 1. The campaign is 1/10 fluff they put in the game just so they could say there is a campaign. The writing and story is not even on the level of something an AI would cobble together if you prompted it. 2. The voice acting is some of the worst I've ever experienced in a "real" game. There are free-to-play games and mods with better voices. 3. This game is really just a DLC expansion pack for the first game and is overpriced for what it is. But at the end of the day, I'm having fun with the end-game horde mode leveling up classes and will get my money out of it. I had hoped for more with this sequel but I'm not mad I bought it.\ 7/10
Just finished the final mission of the game. While the gameplay is in and of itself fun and sometimes even thrilling, it is all let down by the horrible writing and voice acting. They have 4 voices total for the marines; all have the same voice lines that are on repeat constantly. Teammates do not banter during mission like in the -tide games and the ability lines they shout get old after the first mission. The story itself is fine and serves well for a fun shoot ‘em up but is dragged down massively by the voices of the commanding officers on the radio. They are a mix between annoying, lifeless, unserious and uninspiring. A few voice actors also play the part of multiple characters in this game, the same guy that voices Wrench also does one of the marines AND a Wayland Yutani CEO. He also voices Torbjörn in Overwatch. Hearing Torbjörn yell “Sharp Sticks, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥” on repeat wasn’t great. The ending was also a massive let down to me and did nothing to illuminate lore titbits from the last game. There are also, as of right now, quite a few bugs as other reviews pointed out. Some of them ARE gamebreaking. Others are funny but very obvious. For example a specific perk for the marauder can give you infinite rockets from your shoulder gun in 1 second intervals if you couple it with the correct gun. Others are just sad like Xenomorph pathfinding. Whoever was playtesting this and reporting back did a very poor job. I would not recommend the game as it stands right now for the price it is sold at, even if I had fun. I hope the developers can add a few more voicelines for the marines and find somebody better to write and voice direct the future missions that were teased.
This could end up being a really good sequel to Fireteam Elite 1. In its current form, it's a waste of money. Less content, buggy, what content IS there feels like it's just copy and pasted from the first. Missing classes from the first too. Just play the first.
Not had any bad performance issues or anything else, runs well, plays well. only frustrating thing is people randomly leave a mission halfway through.
