About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

Reviews
Tons of improvements over the previous game, 4 player, multiple challenge cards, more attachments, weapon traits and modifiers, lots more perks, able to use any gun on any class once its level 4, the previous games pistol weapons are now in the sidearm slot, larger levels, more enemy numbers and variety, consumables once unlocked you can bring on every mission without expending them, all thermal damage can now ignite enemies without having to use a special attachment, and so many more improvements. Cons: cringe dialogue from the girlboss npcs they do not sound like Marines they sound like you forgot their starbucks order and they are late to a real estate conference, too many things are locked behind missions like the first mission unlocks magazines to buy/find, next unlocks scopes, etc etc I still have not unlocked challenge cards or many other things yet after a lot of missions completed, it makes for slow progression and would be nice to have everything unlocked so I could grind for them before the final missions, the laser weapons overheat now where in the previous game they did not, and finally in mission consumables you find in crates are no longer able to be looted by each player its now first come first serve which isnt like the previous game

Fun game has to kinks to work out for sure but overall I'm enjoying it.
This game doesnt deserve the hate it got... its a building block from the first FTE which has alot of potential. Squad play is tight and intense as it should be - worth a chance if the hours are invest as it does get better the more you play it.
Very good COOP shooter, with some minor bugs.
I love the first game, I wanted to love this..... The new machanics and features I LOVE. However, the levels, I do NOT enjoy..... Its all just one level you run through from a different dirrection? I already explored the maps thoroughly the first time I played them, the the next level your going throu the same area from a different angle, I need to "Explore" again to pick up valuable upgrades etc? Alien dark Decent pulled this off, the previous area is now hive infested and makes ity harder to move through...... Why did this game make me go through the same areas litterally 20+ times? I love this game its great, the features and what it is, is great, great gameplay, great loop for earning gear.... but solely due to Level design / lack of new environments. The first game had a better flow than this one, but I realise this game is locked behind licencing etc.... First game had better flow of levels, raely had to repolay the same level. Only thing thats dragging this game down and making this a negative review? Replaying the same area's.
This is my initial review based on my first 5 hours and i may change it/add on to it in the future. I also have played almost 200 hours in the first game. So, I am going in to this expecting some improvement from the first, as the foundation is very similar. I'll get the problems I have with this out first: -YOU CHANGED THE ICONIC SOUND OF THE PULSE RIFLE. WHYYYYY?? This seems like such a needless L, especially when the first game had the iconic pulse rifle sound. I don't see any logical reason for changing it aside from just pissing fans of the first game and of the alien universe off. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK DEVS. -In the first game I was neutral on the story and characters. It wasn't good but it wasn't bad so I could just ignore it and enjoy the game. THE 2nd GAME HOWEVER is just bad. The dialogue is atrocious, the story is worse than bland, the characters are uninteresting and annoying, and the voice acting is sub par at best (though this might be partially because of the terrible writing/dialogue). At least in the first one i could ignore the story, but this one has such cringe and annoying scenes I almost want to take off my headset and look away until its done. Needless to say, IF YOU WERE HOPING FOR A DECENT STORY IN A UNIVERSE YOU ENJOYED, THIS IS NOT IT. -While on the whole, the performance seemed really solid (see specs below to compare if you wish), I did notice some hard frame dips every so often. This only seems to occur for a few seconds and has only happened a few times, so it is a rare occurrence, but worth mentioning. Also there are some of the usual day 1 bugs, like enemies hanging from the ceiling after dying, getting stuck in a corner for a few minutes, abilites sometimes not properly going off. This is the first few days of the release though and they are not bugs that cause me to lose enjoyment. Now on to some positives: -I really really like the implementation of the "Specialist" or basically the custom class. This allows you to customize the "Specialist" class with abilities and perks that you unlocked from the other main classes. Having a class you can mess around with different kinds of builds with is an excellent idea, and great way to add variety to every match while allowing people to make just the right kind of classes that suits them. -They increased the overall variety of perks, abilities, guns, and gun attachments, and even added weapon traits you can unlock and swap between guns. If you are coming from the first game you will definitely notice a difference in class customization. They did it in a very tasteful way while still maintaining the foundation of the older game. Solid W. -Ill also put performance here. As I said, there were some hiccups, but on the whole the game was very stable for me. Considering all the games coming out nowadays that are horrible with performance and riddled with bugs, I want to give credit where its due to the devs on this. Also, my friend who plays on an Xbox series X also had a stable game and did not notice any major problems. -Increase in enemy variety and even a change in how some enemies are were a welcome change. While i did not have any major problems with the first game in this regard, the increase of enemy variety is always a welcome change when done right. In this case, it was. Im having to re-learn how to deal with older enemies i thought i knew how to play against, and also learn to fight new enemies i have not seen yet. I have not had a chance to go through all the missions either so there may even be more enemy variety i am not aware of. Definitely a solid change by the devs. Long story short; If you just came for the gameplay then I can easily RECOMMEND it. The gameplay is really solid and blast to play, especially if you have friends. HOWEVER, if you cannot get past extremely annoying dialogue, cringy cutscenes, and a story that might as well not be there, then I would give this a HARD PASS and take your money elsewhere.
The latest patch took away the ability to leave your group at the end of a mission, and introduce a bug that can cause your audio to die for the entire rest of the mission. It also introduced some new performance issues that cause increased stuttering. Beyond that, the patch fixed a great deal of annoying bugs.
跟上一作一樣,流程很短。希望可以豐富一下劇情和世界觀。 有點想念一代的盾牌。 特效多的時候有點卡,開鏡會卡頓。 漢化還需要校準。
I was so excited for this game. But I can see why the devs never bothered promoting this crap. This game is so much worse than the first. Guns feels like nerf guns with recoil. No punch behind them. And the end fight was god the worst and most basic fight of all games. RIP Cold Iron Studios. You better start putting in Applications to Burger King.
I enjoy this game. It's fun. For the love of ♥♥♥♥, let us leave Horde Mode matches without forfeiting the reward. I'm sick of losing all progress because my braindead team wanted to stay and it forced me to die with their stupid asses.
