About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

Reviews
Not sure of why this has so many negative reviews. Game runs perfectly fine for me, so i think most people are just retarded and either: A: Dont know how to update drivers or B: Dont know how to build their own PC Theres plenty of weapons, perks and unlocks, so its hard to gauge how many hours it would take to unlock everything, or if even doing so is completely necessary. If you like the Aliens franchise, and enjoy co-op shooters, then I would def recommend checking this out.
This game should have been a DLC for AFTE 1, not a seperate game with a 80$ price tag.

Fun game, builds upon the first. It has occasional bugs, but nothing game breaking yet. Definitely recommend.
girl boss the game. AI voices or writing not sure. Needs more killing xenos and less girl boss.
I love the first game but Jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Christ, what happened? Major performance issues aside, and trust me there are a lot, I don't think this game will get much better with patching. The Dialog, for the most part, is ass. The characters are stupid and quirky... that's their entire personality. Ko, so far, is the only one that's okay, but she'll still whine about my dialog options. I'm sorry that Hotshot was written to be a dumb ♥♥♥♥... I don't have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ choice there. Also, the head of the ship is named Shipp and the head of the armory is Wrench... I'm glad everyone has a nickname based on their job. Dumb. Voice Actors sound bored as ♥♥♥♥ in tense situations. Music is... okay. I fell like it's not as good as the first game but it is what it is. Sound effects are mostly fine, though some feel weak and some are +10db compared to everything else. The AI is all over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ place and I really don't know if they're bugged or what, but damn. Take them off the meth and give them brains please. Level design doesn't make sense. For example, why would we go down a single file double stairwell, through a double door, into a down slope double wide stairwell, into a barracks (from the Bomb Squad mission, fyi)? Why is every mission go to point 1, hold out, go to point 2, hold out, rinse and repeat? I haven't gotten to the end, so hopefully there's more variety later on.
buggy missions (door locking other players, mission successfully completed but it still failed because while cutscene was going on aliens were still alive attacking the team and the team died so you get 0 REWARDS WTF, clunky controls (input delays), no text chat, voice chat not working, cant reconnect to team if you get disconnected, sliding aliens, mostly women telling you what to do, overpriced. its like they know their product is garbage so they just overprice it before buyers figure out how garbage it is and warn others not to buy
I have over 400hrs on the first game and I think I'm done with this one after just nearly 30hrs. To start, this is not a terrible game. But it does far too much of the same thing that plagued the replayability of the first one that I truly hoped would be addressed in this one. What bothered me the most about the first game was the spawn script of the enemies - which was sadly very fixed. It made for a very predictable and stale gameplay loop after a while that should've been touched upon in the sequel. The devs should've taken the approach that Left4Dead did and spawn enemies, waves, and elite units at random points so you are always kept on your toes while keeping things constantly tense. Secondly, the difficulty. I'm aware the devs have publicly addressed this but for now it remains a spongefest - which is the most boring and laziest way to increase a difficulty in any game in my personal opinion. This could've easily been addressed by, once again, not sticking to a fixed spawn area, incrementally increasing the speed + agility of enemies per advanced difficulty level, increasing the amount of enemies, or the introduction of new behaviors such as baiting, more zigzagging patterns, appearing from more locations, etc...because as the way it is now, it is far too boring and gives me very little interest in playing on any higher difficulty. Lastly, while the maps are truly remarkable looking, they are rather stale in interaction. There are various chests to seek and loot from, which to me has always been a strange thing when you can mesh such designs directly into the environment as searchables such as on deceased colonists, base personnel, desks + cabinets, or weapon room/armories. This would've added greatly to the immersion of the game instead of making it feel so artificial. Oh, and this is something that also applies to ammunition. I've always found it silly that out of nowhere you find a big old box of ammunition just sitting there for you to replenish from when that could've been easily meshed into the environment as well. Having said all of those things, a lot of fun can still be had with this game. But I feel that it is so much of the same things from the first one that it feels like I've already played it with the only differences here being that the aesthetics are vastly superior (in my opinion) and a fourth squad member can tag along. I think I'd advise everyone to wait for a sale to go on instead of purchasing this game at full price.
Decided to refund it after seeing that I had to manually select Private match every time. This is the developer's way to push and nudge people into public Matchmaking to make up the numbers. I have no intention of doing that, and at this point I'm allergic to poor developer decisions which are so cynical and so obviously designed as anti-player, so it's refund time! Edit: Things I forgot to add... The unlocks have been vastly reduced (you used to get three items from a Bonus Crate, now you only get one). The various sections of the weapon shop are now individually locked behind certain missions, to push the player into playing further to unlock a section of the shop to see how else they can customise their loadout. And the conversations required to unlock the next mission go on forever, even skipping through them. All of the things mentioned in this paragraph are a cynical attempt by the developers to push up the player's playtime, whether that is for their precious engagement statistics, or in the hope of the player losing track of time and playing over two hours and thus disqualifying themselves from getting a Steam refund. Absolutely cynical padding which was not needed and absolutely nobody asked for.
First time leaving a review... Huge fan of the first but my god...this was buggy from release beyond belief. Frame rate drop like crazy, the cpu mechanics are HOT AHH. Would not recommend unless possibly a sale for this. Not even worth the price tag currently.
