About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

Brilliant game so happy I got it! It feels like the original game but with better graphics and smoother gameplay. The game fits seamlessly into the Alien timeline, featuring references to the first three movies, the prequels, and Alien Isolation. The gameplay reminds me of Left 4 Dead world war z and back 4 blood but with more sci fi action and less gore. my only wish is for there to be a way of purchasing or viewing enemy models in-game, since the fast-paced action makes it difficult to appreciate the designs. Also feel that the Xenomorph life cycle needs to be explained more clearly, as new alien media does not bother explaining it, and the new types of aliens incorporated into this game can be confusing for both long time and new fans. Adding lore files or adding more detail to the already existing enemy bios would be a great way to clarify the alien life cycle and its mutations. The game does feel a bit tame at times, with patronizing voice lines and a lack of the gore that made the series so iconic. Overall, I'd give it an 7.50 out of 10; it's a significant improvement over the first game, and is one of the best games i have played this year and I'm excited to see what future DLCs will bring.

This is lazy, its like were looping with the issues the first game had, gameplay and technical LMAO. The gameplay is the exact same as the first, nothing new added that actually changes the flow or feeling and it doesnt make it feel "new". The game re uses voice actors over and over again and it is hard to not notice, the connections constantly disconnect, you have barely any options for customization for your actual person, the gameplay loop is just run to marker, hold F, defend and repeat 3 times. YOU CANNOT TYPE IN GAME TO ANYONE. If they fix it more and add more quality content or changes than I would love to leave a positive review, but for now it gets a thumbs down. Just play the first one for a better price till this drops down a bit. I would also recommend adding some animation to rotating your camera/character when your'e standing still, it looks silly to just slide. I also think having some filter options would be nice and fun for replay or preference.
I love the first game but Jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Christ, what happened? Major performance issues aside, and trust me there are a lot, I don't think this game will get much better with patching. The Dialog, for the most part, is ass. The characters are stupid and quirky... that's their entire personality. Ko, so far, is the only one that's okay, but she'll still whine about my dialog options. I'm sorry that Hotshot was written to be a dumb ♥♥♥♥... I don't have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ choice there. Also, the head of the ship is named Shipp and the head of the armory is Wrench... I'm glad everyone has a nickname based on their job. Dumb. Voice Actors sound bored as ♥♥♥♥ in tense situations. Music is... okay. I fell like it's not as good as the first game but it is what it is. Sound effects are mostly fine, though some feel weak and some are +10db compared to everything else. The AI is all over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ place and I really don't know if they're bugged or what, but damn. Take them off the meth and give them brains please. Level design doesn't make sense. For example, why would we go down a single file double stairwell, through a double door, into a down slope double wide stairwell, into a barracks (from the Bomb Squad mission, fyi)? Why is every mission go to point 1, hold out, go to point 2, hold out, rinse and repeat? I haven't gotten to the end, so hopefully there's more variety later on.
its bad in every way other than visually. 1. locking certain basic things like cosmetics or challenge cards behind game progression feels like a lazy way to forcibly pad out hours played. 2. enemies jittering or even outright teleporting is a constant issue, especially during the second-half of the campaign. 3. the audio is dog water to be frank. the aliens sound like theyre halfway across the room from you even if theyre up in your face, voicelines can and will repeat with an echo, the guns are only passable. 4. the dialogue is terrible. if they were intending to make an obnoxious 'so quirky lol' character then they did raptor well. ko has the personality of easily forgettable cardboard even for someone supposed to be the hardass type. shipp. piper i feel as though could have had better development other than 'i spoke once on the comms now im learning :)' esther and wrench i like simply because they feel more natural compared to the rest. 5. i struggled to pay attention to the storyline on account of the fact that it was so bland and samey. the prologue had me hooked, i was excited. the 2.x missions managed to keep that excitement building up until 3.1 even if there were fair leaps of escalation. the more you start to learn about the big evil doctor, however, and the further you progress into that arc the worse it gets until it becomes nothing more than a 'big scary scientist is doing EVIL and playing GOD.' 6. the ai clearly has a few screws loose as very frequently from what ive played, they would do things such as conga lining or get themselves stuck on nothing in an open space (an issue especially prevalent with the droid enemies). the only ai that seems to work decently well and kind of erratically are the synths, which is bad, because youd also expect that the xenomorph enemies would be able to do more than walk in singular straight lines at you. 7. semi infrequently (in my experience) the interaction key would either take one-two seconds delay or outright stop working. really just a nuisance compared to everything else. 8. the difference between the pre-rendered cutscenes, in-game cutscenes and the actual gameplay itself is utterly jarring to such a degree that it can pull you out of the immersion; going from wonderful to look at immediately into grainy 80s footage. this game is ultimately just fireteam elite 1 with prettier graphics and DOZENS of issues which one wouldve hoped wouldnt have been stuffed into a game that costs a whole 50 dollars. i love that they made challenge cards infinite, added new weapons and systems for said weapons, and abilities. but when i can count how many new things theyve added to 2 on both of my hands while the issues that persist infinitely, constantly grinding against you, its really just not worth it to purchase this game at full price. at best this is a game that you wait a year or two before buying, or buy it when its at a 15-20 dollar discount.
This game is much more in-depth than it's predecessor. The guns, attachments, skills, challenge card, even the cosmetics are unlocked at different points in the game, rather than being immediately purchase-able. The gunplay is fast and frenetic, with the Xenomorphs feeling much more of a threat than they were in the first game (playing standard difficulty since the jump). The 3 Missions in each campaign are longer (closer to 30 minutes or so) than than they were in the previous game, much more akin to the length of the Pathogen DLC that was released for AFE (I am currently on Mission 2.3). The lighting is much more atmospheric and the story has been thematic with a darker tone than the first one as well. The characters you talk to are animated as well, not just the voicelines while looking at their character model as in AFE. There are some issues with this, sometimes the characters give a little bit of uncanny valley, and the voice lines can be cheesy. Additionally, with the increase in Xenomorph durability/threat, it has become harder to target and hit xenos (they're much faster), and they feel much spongier. The ammo box spacing can be tough. I have seen some reviews about stuttering when entering new areas and have encountered it, which is relatively jarring. However, this happened in AFE as well at the beginning and the Devs worked to fix it. I have faith that they will continue to work on the issues the community puts towards them. So far this is a very fun game, and I hope to engage some more when my friends pick it up! Until then, I'm going to keep grinding and finish the story!
I played the first game, this one is pretty much the same thing a few improvements but not enough to justify this price. It's not a AAA game. It's fun but not at this price they didn't change / add that much to justify the price.
So many bugs, game keeps crashing. Levels will not progress at certain points, achievement trackers won't progress, etc. This game had the potential to be better and instead has glitches and issues than the latest Call of Duty game
Oh man.
Fun game, builds upon the first. It has occasional bugs, but nothing game breaking yet. Definitely recommend.
Was it worth 49.99 at launch defiantly worth 30 or 40$ is it fun yes very fun is it optimized yes, I didn't play the first one so having a good time with this one.
