Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Sep 3 → 9.71/day in the week after.

so many bugs, frustrating game design, not fun
Absolutely everything you'd want in an Aliens game - accurate Colonial Marines, haunting OST, amazing atmosphere and frenatic firefights when you eventually get hunted down by the hive

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A Game Review: Aliens: Dark Descent By: PVT Distraction Introduction Step into one of my personal favorite universes - Alien vs Predator - with Aliens: Dark Descent. Surprise, surprise, you guessed it baby, we are back with yet another deep space horror videogame! The typical deepspace space station, orbiting an isolated planet with cool rare resources….and that’s right, another horrifying alien species. Bet you didn’t see that one coming did ya? Gameplay This game is a squad based RTS top down horror strategy game. It’s about navigating winding tunnels and corridors in the dark, with danger at every turn. Evading confrontation where you can, and setting up as many sentry turrets in a dead end hallway, creating the ultimate fish in a barrel killbox. For those of you wanting to really feel the anxiety and terror that is navigating an alien infested planet, this game does allow you to zoom into a basically 3rd person, very close up view. This game makes you gather resources while deployed on missions, then decide how to spend those resources once you return back to home base, The Otago. In between mission deployments you need to decide which marines get priority in the med-bay, which weapons you want to engineer, and just how freaky you will let the scientists get down in the laboratory (ole buddy boy loves his xenos). The game gives you an impending doom sense of anxiety with the infestation level growing everyday. Along with an “end of the world the planet is getting nuked” countdown. I had a blast abusing the apc / motion tracker sensor strategy, and I probably spent an unnecessary amount of time just gathering sentry guns to set up and blast my way through missions. Stealth game? I mean kind of. I did find it to become quite significantly easier once I unlocked the silenced sniper ability and could take out enemies from a distance without setting off a hunt every 30 seconds. The game was hard to get into at first, but I have to say, once I got into it, I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. The Good I enjoyed everything to do with the turrets and the apc. There’s just something that killing endless hordes of enemies alongside auto turrets that scratches an itch. The desperate searching empty room after empty room for loot constantly, trying to find more medkits, just to finally come across what you need was well done I thought. It felt like I was constantly rotating what I was searching for whether it was more tools, or medkits, or ammo, and it was a satisfying relief to finally come across a room with what I needed in the moment. And I have to say, just being in the Alien universe again was great. The different alien types were well done I thought. My personal nemesis was that dang Praetorian, many a mission restart because of that guy sneaking in during an onslaught, swiping a marine and setting off the domino chain reaction of the squads stand collapsing. The Bad Healing marines in the med-bay. It is such an annoying interface. You have to assign the doctors 1 at a time, with a button registering delay, even if you are wanting to use all of them on the same marine. Is one of those things that you don’t notice at first but by the end of the game you just really wish it wasn’t even in the game at all. The “Hunts” that the hive would send as soon as you engaged with 1 alien was semi annoying to deal with because if it was in a wrong corridor of the map it is basically a squad wipe sentence. In the barracks. the promoting marines system was also tedious to do. It honestly felt like I was doing chores and sinking time to promote marines, and healing them in between missions. Honestly, it felt like the whole interface could use an overhaul, lots of room for quality of life options to be added. The story was kinda bleh so far as the whole “we have to save my daughter” trope, I didn’t feel engrossed in Harper’s story, as I would’ve liked, and honestly the psychic stuff felt sorta forced. I thought they would expand on it more but honestly it’s whatever. Rating 6.5/10 - It’s a good RTS alien universe game, but it definitely has a lot of issues to look past to enjoy it. Is what it is. As they say on The Otago Bravo Zulaaaaaaaa!
