Alien Death Mob

At this price, Alien Death Mob punches way above its weight. I love the retro aesthetic and each level is really unique in appearance and in gameplay. I will say that the game seems impossible at first until you get a feel for it. It would be nice if it eased you in a bit more or explained its mechanics a bit better (or I could just suck at these kind of games, I could never get into Geometry Wars). Overall, it is a tough game, but once you realize how to avoid enemies and grab shields and power ups quickly, it gets manageable and a lot of fun (and addictive). It is a great game to pick up and play for 5-30 min at a time, and all the great levels will keep you coming back for a while trying to get all the stars.

There is such a thing as too hectic even in this type of game. There's just too much going on too fast and you scramble to even aim in the direction you need to. Other than that there really isn't any interesting progression, you get random temporary weapons (why cant I enjoy my weapon?) and try not to die. If you beat a level, you get a new level that is quite the same. Hurray. Kudos for not making this brainless like Vampire Survivors and allowing the player to aim their weapon.
