The RPG elements mixed with the tavern-keeping gameplay made this game truly special in my eyes. My girlfriend and I ended up doing marathon sessions, playing for 8+ hours a day on several occasions. I never tried playing it solo, but if it maintains the same pace of customers regardless of player count, it feels like you need at least three people to play comfortably. Even with the little helpers, it was hard to keep up. Well, at least until we started taking things off the menu. However, I think a lot of the fun comes from cooking everything available and trying to serve it all. The end of the game felt very strange compared to the rest of the experience, but it was still enjoyable. One thing I will gripe about is a few of the achievements. Serving a X number of overnight tenants and freeing a X number of people from orc camps are both very late-game achievements. By that point, there isn't much left to do, so you're stuck spending hours grinding for achievements that aren't really worth the time investment. Overall, we loved this game.
