Aggelos 2 is an explosive action-platformer where lightning-fast combat, precision platforming, and two opposing worlds collide. As an Aggelos, the highest order of angels, you are chosen by Balro to venture through the Kingdom of Lumen, domain of the supreme God of Light. But with Lumen under siege and the Gods facing imminent defeat at the hands of the Army of Darkness, you are forced to embrace a shadowy new form to survive the chaos of both light and dark realms.
While your angelic side favors a slower, disciplined approach, your demon form is highly agile, aggressive, and bristling with dark powers. Mastering the shift between both forms is key to survival, and only by balancing order and chaos can you hope to overcome formidable enemies, deadly obstacles, and challenging puzzles along your path.

Explore two massive, overlapping maps, each with their own unique characteristics, enemies to fight, secrets to discover, and challenges to overcome.

Switch between Angel and Demon forms to change the world and your playstyle, from precise defenses to fast assaults, mastering timing, strategy, and reflexes.

Take on hordes of enemies and conquer 13 massive bosses across both realms. Steel yourself for memorable encounters that build on the original game’s signature battles.

Solve challenges by mastering skills, memorising routes, manipulating mechanisms, avoiding traps, and interacting with the world to reveal secrets and new paths.

Collect orbs to unlock devastating special attacks, boost your strength and increase your survivability, adding a tactical layer to your progression.

Unlock new skills as you progress, from flight and wall grabs to dashes and powerful special attacks, offering up new ways to explore and reach previously inaccessible areas.

Striking pixel art and detailed sprites designed to complement smooth, fast-paced 2D gameplay.

This is a fantastic game - a perfect blend between classic and contemporary. Please, make many more games like this.
A really cool adventure game, mixing elements of Wonder Boy 5, Demon's Crest, and Ikaruga. The game is fast-paced, and although you may feel a little lost at times, you always want to keep exploring and find out what comes next. Don’t forget to place markers on the map whenever you come across an item you can’t reach yet, a door you can’t open, or some strange mechanism you can’t interact with. It’ll save you a lot of backtracking later!

good game. maybe excessive with the collectables, though.
WOW! Fantastic retro Metroidvania! Fantastic pixel graphics, good soundtrack and good atmosphere! It is kinda amiga-stil. All in all easily one of the best retro metroidvanias of the past years. Good job, guys!
This game rules. Will update my review once I've rolled credits but know that this is an easy recommend for fans of metroidlike games and don't mind an experience that doesn't hold your hand too much.
Неплохая игра. Отзывчивое управление. Хорошая графика. Есть сюжет. Из минусов: -Громкая музыка и звуки; -Нельзя пропускать заставки; -Нет оконного режима.

This is a pretty great metroidvania generally. Rebindable buttons, 2 massive maps, and sold gameplay all around. I played through this on hard mode and clocked in at over 13 hours getting about 99% of the items. This does lead to me one issue is that the game could really use some sort of mechanic to help the player track down missing things at the end of the game or post credits. There are 100 eggs to collect that unlock stuff and I only managed to get 99 of them with complete map coverage. There is no way I could ever really find 1 missing thing over 2 massive maps to retrace. The only other issue with this game is that since there is literally no penalty to death other than being sent back to your last checkpoint, you will often find suicide is the best means to fast travel given the size of the space and the frequency of checkpoints. There really should be a warp back to last checkpoint from the menu. That being said, the map design itself is actually really great. Very open ended once it gets rolling and neat pathing that requires shifting between the 2 maps to reach certain spots much like A Link to the Past. Achievements requiring no deaths, and speed running would likely require multiple plays which I'm not a fan of, but Hard Mode seemed generally fair while still being challenging with the biggest issues only really being a few of the bosses. Aside from all this, this one is an easy recommend if your a fan of the genre.
