Aggelos 2 is an explosive action-platformer where lightning-fast combat, precision platforming, and two opposing worlds collide. As an Aggelos, the highest order of angels, you are chosen by Balro to venture through the Kingdom of Lumen, domain of the supreme God of Light. But with Lumen under siege and the Gods facing imminent defeat at the hands of the Army of Darkness, you are forced to embrace a shadowy new form to survive the chaos of both light and dark realms.
While your angelic side favors a slower, disciplined approach, your demon form is highly agile, aggressive, and bristling with dark powers. Mastering the shift between both forms is key to survival, and only by balancing order and chaos can you hope to overcome formidable enemies, deadly obstacles, and challenging puzzles along your path.

Explore two massive, overlapping maps, each with their own unique characteristics, enemies to fight, secrets to discover, and challenges to overcome.

Switch between Angel and Demon forms to change the world and your playstyle, from precise defenses to fast assaults, mastering timing, strategy, and reflexes.

Take on hordes of enemies and conquer 13 massive bosses across both realms. Steel yourself for memorable encounters that build on the original game’s signature battles.

Solve challenges by mastering skills, memorising routes, manipulating mechanisms, avoiding traps, and interacting with the world to reveal secrets and new paths.

Collect orbs to unlock devastating special attacks, boost your strength and increase your survivability, adding a tactical layer to your progression.

Unlock new skills as you progress, from flight and wall grabs to dashes and powerful special attacks, offering up new ways to explore and reach previously inaccessible areas.

Striking pixel art and detailed sprites designed to complement smooth, fast-paced 2D gameplay.
Fun enough to recommend. It's got some cool mechanics, and it's not too difficult. Definitely has old school game vibes. No autosave, very easy to miss a room and get lost, has lots of sound effect glitches and the music is pretty strange sometimes.

Game is a nice upgrade from the first. Overall game is great. Definitely give it a play if you playes the first.
Leaving a positive review for the algorithm cause people can't handle their moderate difficulty unfortunately.
Pretty decent, but with some big annoyances that nearly put me at a thumbs down. The game desperately needs a way to get hints and find missing items toward the end of the game; the map is huge and it's hard to know what you've missed or even see doors that still need to be explored. Still, overall a good game.
I'll give credit for trying to add its own element to the MV genre. Unfortunately, that's where the credit stops. The idea. !!! The Idea That Killed The Game !!! The unique form-swapping attribute that is the main stay of the game really falls over due to 3 main issues: 1- Its demanding nature on the mind and hand/eye coordination, both, in the heat of battle, or just during some simple platforming. It has the kind of demand on coordination that just isn't natural when playing a MV, even with a new mechanic. 2- The sharp difficulty curve once you gain the second form. Players want their hands to be trained over time to do the difficult tasks expected of them throughout a game, as a result of the key mechanic. But as a result of that very mechanic, unfortunately, I felt myself subconciously trying to focus either on which finger was on which button on the controller and which form I wanted to be on the screen. That made the rest of the aspects of the game an ugly blur when it should have been as enjoyable as the rest of the design suggests. 3- The innability to quickly use the heal skill you only get to use on the light form, replaced with a speed boost on the dark form instead. I could only give this a short play due to the agonising amount of times I had to be dark, used a speed boost when I wanted to heal and end up dead due to the confusing place that put me. It was either that or the fact that I kept running out of heals doing the wrong move over, and over, and over again. The visuals, enemy design, and map (what I explored of it) showed real potential. The first boss said to me "Oh we've got a real game on our hands :)"... But once the overcooked theme of the game is presented, the tarnished attempt to create originality with an idea became too messy for me.
Better and bigger than the first game recomend just play this one skip first one
Crashes a lot on my steam deck an i loose my progress multiple times. GET IT FIXED
