Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Aug 14 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Heroes of Might and Magic,

Before I played Age of Wonders III, i had a small wee wee, no friends, no girlfriend, depression and absolutely no will to live. None of these things have changed, but the game is pretty good.
One of my biggest disappointments. The game looks better than the previous one, has nice music and lots of other features. But it’s worse in the very aspect I liked most about the previous instalments. The size of the battlefield. AO3 has changed to look more like the HOMM series. The battlefields are smaller; units reach each other in one, or at most two, rounds. There’s little room here for manoeuvres and tactics. It’s not unpleasant, but for me it’s disappointing. AO2 had large battlefields; when storming a city, you could attack it from many sides. The speed of units (e.g. cavalry) mattered. Slow units could face at least 2–3 turns of being fired upon without a chance of reaching the enemy. This created a sense of scale, making it feel as though battles were taking place across a vast expanse and that the cities were large. Rather than a skirmish on a battlefield the size of a sandpit. I haven’t got to know AO3 well, as I’m unfortunately unable to stomach the new look of the battles.
An extremely shallow game. Hardly worth the 4X strategy cover. Too many negatives overall. Namely: - City progression is minimal, ends within an hour of game time. - A lot of spells, but 80% aren't even worth clicking. - Very slow AI, even though as a human player there's nothing to click. - Sluggish UI, that slows down based on what your opponents are doing in simultaneous turns. - Didn't even want to try tactical combat - too deterministic. Just auto-combat through everything. - Unit designs are very uninspired. Human unit roaster is - a man with a sword, a man with a bow, a man on a horse, a man with a staff. Developers made some assets, but forgot to code a game, it seems. I'd go as far, as saying - this game was designed by a person who doesn't play video games. "From people who are good at job interviews, to gamers".
A really fantastic, excellent 4X fantasy game, that is however completely overshadowed by its yet even more fantastic successor, Age of Wonders 4. So there is really no reason to play this one over AoW4 unless you have a bad computer or just really want to experience the story campaign.
I like the ability to customise the game to keep it new and play in different styles and levels of difficulty. I've played it way more than I should have and recommend playing it.
I come back to play AOW3 after hundreds hours of AOW4, go figure why. 3 is just better in game play.
It's pretty fun if you're into these kinds of games. I'm not, and it was still entertaining. Whatever that means. 7.8🧚♀️/10🧌
