Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This is the one that started it all. I remember playing it from CDROM that I got off a breakfast cereal packet back in 1999. It had me hooked for a long time. By today's standards, the gameplay is still fun but a bit janky. You often have little control over the units' pathfinding and they find creative ways to get stuck. The priests are overpowered and flipping and converting units back and forth gets annoying. Fighting battles basically involves throwing units into the fray without instructions because you can't control them in any fine-grained way. Catapults will often wipe out your own units because of this. You can also drain a map of it's resources entirely if it comes down to it. Of course all the fixes for these issues that improve the gameplay you will only find in it's direct sequel. Still, this one deals with ancient civilizations and as such is something of a relic itself. There are plenty of maps and the definitive edition polish improves the base experience - but the gameplay is firmly rooted at the turn of the milennia. Still a lot of fun, but it's sequel became a much better game. If you had to pick a game between the two I'd go for AoE2, but this one is still fun in a classic way.

Puff! Age of Empires es un juegazo.
